Well i was watching mtv2 yesterday, and suckerfree came on playing a bunch of southern crunk videos. Im not one to listen to this sort of radio garbage, im more of the underground hip-hop guy, but paul wall song came on and i enjoyed the chorus and beat "girl...id be in trouble if you left me now...cuz i dont know where to look for love" sampled from that old classic

well needless to say, there's a scene towards the end that has him and his lawyer discussing what his wife should get in the settlement. The lawyer (who is that short pimp on wild n out) is doing something on what appears to be a sidekick. I am not surprised, i've seen plenty of rap videos with them rocking sidekicks, but this one appeared different...slimmer...different shade of color...it was brief but it caught my eyes. Anyone else see this?

Yeah I seen this video, It looks like its a Mr Cartoon sidekick 2 or a painted sidekick 2 to me. Here is the link to the video:

Yea that is definetly a Sidekick 2 Mr cartoon edition because my brother has that sidekick and it loooks just the one in the video ....its a black sidekick with light grey bumpers not dark grey like the original sidekicks

They have a still shot of the picture. Doesn't look like a Mr. Cartoon to me, but it's grainy, DEF looks thinner. This doesn't prove a thing.

if you check the video, you dont see that bar of silver that contains the camera and flash ect, its just pure black. According to those real pics of the back of a sk3, the camera is much smaller and mid/upper left corner

You completely convienced me that it is NOT a sidekick III -- thankfully we got leaked image of sidekick III to be able to differnate (that camera lens that you mentioned is a deadly give away!)

seriously who gives a scat? the fact is the average joe still doesnt have one. Who cares if some rapper has one. We know the Sidekick3 exists, its only a matter of time for us.

Well if anyone needs anymore proof shortly after this was posted on hiptop.com it was removed while I was reading about it. That gives some truth to the matter, i realize that they totally did away with the rumor section because of topics like this but when a thread only lasts like 5 mins, that should tell you something.

The Sidekick (and yes it is a sidekick) in the video in question is a standard Sidekick II with black covers and stock gray bumpers. I don't know whether it's been painted black or is a Mr. Cartoon version or whatever, but it's is most assuredly a Sidekick II. it looks "thin" because it's a black device shown against someone's black suit.

OMG Its madd obvious that the phone in the video is none other than the SIDEKICK III.

1. Look at the edge of the sidekick 2 its not slim and it dosen't have a round smooth edge.

2. If you look at the top closely, it dosen't have a rubber bumper on top of the sidekick like other sk2's.

3. The camera on the sidekick 2 is ACROSS the rear instead of being blocked by "Mike PimP's" hand.

That's just to let you know that if u was to have a item like that in the wrong hands then it would be certain that the item that was on the video is the item that has never came out yet in other words "exclusive". ITs also obvious that rappers, celebrities and other famous ppl get the 1st look of things that comes out in the next months, years, decades, w/e which is alot fukked up than than spotting that s**t in the video. "its like from what they say to us (we get to see things other ppl don't get to see)", but I hardly doubt it that the sidekick that he is holding is a Mr Cartoon b/c from what I'm seeing, i don't see that sidekick 2 logo w/ designs by mr. cartoon, the black rubber bumpers too and most definitely the camera which sits ACROSS the back of the phone. So if anyone guessed that the item feature on the video is the sidekick 3 then you guessed correctly.

That definately looks like an SK3, it is MUCH thinner and also has rounded edges vs the SK2 normally I would say no on this but that just looks too much like a SK3 to not be one. The flip of the device looks much different then your SK2 also, just does not look nearly as thick, plus doesnt the Mr. Cartoon have a grey design along with the black look on it? Also if you will notice that the "grey bumpers" go all the way around, when the lawyer leans forward you can see this.

ummm, it really doesn't make sense that an SK3 would show up in a music video. First of all it is likely that when the SK3 does show up it will be widely publicized and there will be much hallaballo, why would you stick one in some random musice video in the hopes that some people might catch it?
Besides that though it could just have easily been a prop, some chunk of plastic that looks sort of like a Sidekick. I'm not being pessimistic, just realistic...and I'm sorry, but putting an Sk3 in the movie just pure doesn't make any sense.

The supposed leaked photos of the SK3 have no bumpers. My guess is its just a Mr. Cartoon SK2. Read the review of the SK3, the poster clearly states no bumpers and a cleaner finish. So the video can one of three things...1) A mr. cartoon sk2 with grey bumpers...2)Some SK3 Prototype that no one has seen (NO LIKELY)...or 3) A plastic prop.

ok i dont know why this is all of the sudden a big thing again.. there was a thread on here about 2 months ago when the video first came out. talking about the sidekick spotted in the video.. and someone just starts a thread again and everyone is flipping out again...
here is my opinion.
I think its a mr cartoon. sidekick 2. cause first off. it looks black on the back and on the front.. look when he has it laying down on the table its black on the top too.. the sk3 has that tan color on the top.. unless he has the sk3 limited edition already. also look at the sticker on the back of the screen. it has the IMEI crap on the back.. and from what people say. the sk3 has the removeable battery and all the IMEI stuff is under the battery.. and all it says on the back of the sk3 is tmobile SIDEKICK 3 really big look here in the pic..

and yes the mr cartoon comes with light grey bumpers on it. someone said it comes with black bumpers on it.
and last but not least. why would they give some rapper guy thats not even popular a sidekick 3 before the beta testers at TMOBILE even have them..
i mean if anything i would think paris hilton or snoop dog would have one before some rapper guy off of wild n out...
but thats just my opinion and my 2 cents.. but you guys can think what you wanna think...

Speaking of this video .....

you all missed that the screen is seriously NARROW compared to the edges of the device in the brotha's hands. I'm willing to bet its NOT even a SK at all.

SKII does have a more narrow screen that the SKIII does in the posters picture above. Marketing concepts can change a bit from year to year, and also that this devices isnt CLEARLY imaged in the video could mean a lot of things either way.

BTW ... anyone have a link to someone selling a MINT condition SKII Mr. Cartoon or even a Juicy Couture SKII > gonna get one for the wife to play with while I upgrade to a RIM 8700g for work.
