I bought the 903sh from japan and converted to HK SX833 Version. I need some expert to that can help me solve the problem as i am a new user for this 903sh. I have download the games into my 903sh but some how all the games cannot open. When i click on the games that i download it always say "Cannot Open" Do i need to do some setting before i can play java games in my 903sh. I load Jar. files.

it means.. the games aren't copmatible.. if some are doing that

I have try some of the java games from some forums mention that is can be played in 903sh. But still cannot open. Do you have any Java games that is compatible so i can try to load in to the 903sh. Or any sites for me to load the games.

umm.. i havne't finished my wap site (yes i know been talkin about it for like 3 months now). there's some games that work for it for sure. there's that airplane game, that works for sure. and ther'es some other ones too.. forget the names. some s700i games work too.

There are some s700i games that work on the 903SH that i know of for sure like
- Block Breaker Deluxe
- Asphalt GT
I have both these games on my 903SH!!!

I got wap site for downloading the java games in this forums. http://republika.pl/sharp902. And i have loaded few games from this site but all "Cannot Open" . Is the shapr 902 java games can be played in 903sh. How come i have load more than ten games from this site but still cannot open the file. Any if you know any wap site that i can load the java games please let me know. I will keep trying...

Something bad with your fw maybe. On 902/903 these games are working fine.

Did anyone one knows whether vodafone lock the java games setting. Of does 903sh have any java setting so that i can play my java games.

they don't lock the java settings ... but they do lock the games to a specific sim card. u load a game with that sim card.. you can only use that sim card to access the games.

Sorta off topic by is there any way to check the firmware of my JP 903? I tried that 8 + power trick for games but didn't work. Does it only work with EURO firmware?

it only works with firmware that has been patched.. japanese works too.. or euro

is there a way to play the games without having to use vodafone live?
just use data cable and send to a folder on the mini sd?

nope... well there is.. if you hack the bootloader.

and u don't really need vodafone live.. you can use your regular wap settings in your country

I have the same problem, 903sh w/ HK firmware. Just get "Cannot Open" with any java app. Any solutions?

Well if u hack the bootloader... you can load the games off you mini sd rite? The thing is does it support .jar games?

Not sure what you mean by "messed", but I don't think so.

if the names of your menu icons and the menu icon itself don't match.. then you have hybrid.. if they do match.. then u have hk firmware. if u have hk firmware.. i think the reason why you can't open is cause it needs a reset.

I want to play Vnes on my phone but there is no way to download it through Wap since you have compile it with the roms you want on your computer then put it on an SD card. Unless there is a WAp site that currently has Vnes preloaded with Roms. Incase you guys don't know what Vnes is its a nes emulator for mobiles. Anyway I have a 904t and soon getting a 705sh.

Well I have to say I got quite interested by the concept of playing NES games on my 903, so I sat down and attempted to get this one to work with the phone.

I can tell you after several hours of tinkering with everything involved, I got Apache server installed on my system, set up the correct MIME values so the phone would download the JAD and not just display its contents, downloaded VNES, made up a JAD file from the one Jbenchmark2 uses and reedited the contents for VNES, fixed the manifest.mf file in the JAR archive to reflect the information and finally, was able to download the VNES app onto the phone.

After all this, I loaded the app and the phone reports, VNES Error. and quits.

Sigh.

wow what a bummer sounds like you worked hard on that too. Either way the controls would be terrible I think. On the bright side someone managed to do it on the 904sh go to youtube and check it out search for nes 904
