need some help installing MPT on Slvr L7.

Hye guys i need some help pease. I have a SLVR L7 from t-mobile but i guess its powered by Cingular. Anyway i installed the Motorola Phone Tools version 4.0. Connected the usb cable to my phone, and when it asked me to connect to my pv i then connected to my pc. It tryed to detect it but it coudlnt. I tryed it a few times but no luck. it gave me an option of manually finding the driver. so i found motorola gsm clicked on that. then it gave me a bunch of model numbers for motorola phones. i scrolled down and found L7. so it installed then a L7 popped up on my screen with a box next to it with little icons such as multimedia, etccc. But yet still the L7 that popped up on my screen is trying to connect but cant. thanx for the help.

im having the EXACT same problem..i just get initializing..please wait but theres a little phone with a circle and a line threw it..its making me really mad but noone seems to have an answer to our problem!
