I was talking to some people today, and they were saying that there wont be a firmware upgrade for the 803T, because Toshiba is concentrating on the 904T. Can anyone confirm this?

no.. that isn't true. even tho many ppl are focusing on 904T.. there is still many focusing on the 803T. just cause.. there's different version of the 803T out.. whereas 904T.. there's only one or two only?

i think i'd rather have everything unlocked than worry about the service provider name.
It would bug me a bit i guess..

this is really frustrating!

i just spoke to my friend again and he said something along the lines of
they cant extract from the TX-60 firmware, so there probably wont be an upgrade for the 803T... and the 904T

sorry for sounding a tad dumb, but what do you mean by firmware upgrade? Is that where the Chinese FW is transferred into a Japanese phone? Or is that additional features added?

thats called firmware cross-flashing yang.
firmware upgrading it just flashin the same type of firmware onto the phone but a newer version.

i don't know if there won't be a firmware. it's hard to imagine that they won't. cause the toshiba boards are based off another phone company's boards. but that remains to be seen.

if this were a perfect world...the firmware upgrade would include a2dp profile feature....I don't even know if thats possible or if it is hardware related.

no.. there wouldn't be ad2p profile feature.. as it that needs to be clearly identified way ahead of time for the FCC> it has to be approved before it can be just put on a phone persay. and its a hardware thing too.. it has to be able to support it first.. whcih it doesn't
