For everyone's information, I already looked at the Cingular settings faq in the forums,and it didn't work for me. is the 840 even compatible with media net at all? if it is (or at least MMS is), i kindly request settings that i can use with my 840. i was formerly on Cingular Blue, and the settings worked fine for that service, so i know my phone isn't broken. but yeah, if it can't be done, just let me know and i'll quit bothering everyone.

MEdia net should work if you can get the correct settings, MMS is another story though it works with some but not all import phones (ie my 802sh cannot receive MMS because Cingular's proxy doesn't support the phone). I used the following forum to setup my Sharp:

I realize it contains Sharp info, but you might be able to get enough info to setup your phone. Also you can use the support pages on the Cingular website to get settings for phones, I'd recommend using the information listed for the Samsung ZX10 or LG CU320 because I've found the 3G/UMTS phones have similar setting options as do import phones.
