Sync Manager, should i use the CD?

i want to connect to my treo 650 via sync but dont have the cd.. on the site i found palm desktop but this is an addition to the cd version. Should i just use the one u can download or am i missing out on alot by using the off site palm desktop download. If someone has the original cd install and would direct me to a link to download that would be great.

Well, you'd be missing out on the rest of the bundled software that you could use without the original CD-Rom that came with it. It may include some stuff such as the Documents to Go 7.
You can always just buy the other software as well or look for freeware stuff to download.
