Hi everybody. I'm new here and this seems to be the friendliest sharp cell phone forums so this is why I decided to post here.

I bought an unlocked 903sh about 4 months ago. Just recently I accidently did a Master reset all on my phone using the menu on my phone. My phone is not working properly. I can't access my music player, my picture messages don't act the same way before i reset it, and I have a lot more problems with my phone.

Do I need to flash my phone with the proper 903sh firmware to get it back it its original settings? If so, do I need to buy a USB cable to do this?

seems like you had the beta unlock on your phone. i don't recommend doing it yourself as that process usually kills the phone instead of helping it. if you have a local unlocker/flasher, bring it to him. if not, give me a pm and i'll be able to help you out.

I have reason to believe I didnt have the beta unlocked. But I could be wrong.
I dont think I have a local unlocker/flasher around here. I wouldnt know where to check.

oh okay. its easy to determine tho. just have to describe your phone's functionlaities and menus and i'll be able to determine for ya. no worries

When my phone was working properly I tired adding some games to my miniSD card and doing the synchronisation and I was never able to access the games. After I did the master reset by accident I put the games on my miniSD card, did the synchronisation and, was able to access the games and play them.

On other forums they say that only the beta phones are able to play games by doing the synchronisation.

that was old old news. the newer japanese patch. is able to to play them.. but only the one from july to october. afte rnovember it got upgraded and they removed the functionl

I was going to do a master hardware reset by pressing the power + 8 but it didn't show me an option to reset. I ended up doing a power + # and I did a flash format. I can't use my phone anymore. I don't have access to my menu. The screen says USIM-MEP. The time and date are shown. The battery icon and an 'out' icon appear on the screen too. And when I try to make a call it says "Call fail. Emergency only". I try to do a power + 8 again but it just goes straight to the screen that says USIM-MEP.

What should I do now?

Does anybody know any professional flashers that would install the proper unlocked firmware on a Sharp 903sh in the USA? Or could I do it myself?

i'm based in Canada so I guess that eliminates me. i wouldn't do it by yourself.. its pretty risky and so many dead phones come from that
