NOTE: If you have a firmware of the 24 series, do NOT flash to this MP. You must first flash to a 6FR, then to this 90R.

Ok, here's The place to discuss/comment on my 90R Monster Pack. All discussion/comments about my 6FR monster pack, please go to my 6FR thread.

So please, try it out, leave some comments, I am always open for suggestions. If you dont like something, or want something else..let me know! I will add it in.

tho the 4 row skins the razer ones dont work they exit the screen when you try to select somthing thats not in the row :/ and im trying to play a song and lol it forze my phone using the mp3 player ;?

What do ya mean try to select something not in the row?


and I sorta forgot I had included that other MP3 player..I was going to get rid of it, but I forgot. So I only hoped it was stable..but I guess not..dammit!

Oh well, next version will be better. so keep up the comments..any glitches or anything, I must know!

Yes, its fine.

the only time you need to worry is when you have a 24 series firmware...anything above that is ok(6 series).

Glad your giving it a try, let me know how it works out. If you have any problems or anything, let me know. I will be glad to fix the nessesary things.

Ad it should be pretty stable, but we will see how it reacts to different peoples phones, since everybodys phone is different.

im a nOOB, ive read as much as i can, but still having problems, i cannot download RSD lite for some reason ive been on their website ptc.com but cant find the 'learn and try' tab, all these links to supposed MP and flash files are not downloading im on the 24th series so need to goto 6CR or 6DR as u lot should know but these links are not working, please help

the mp3 player i didnt play around with alot...

now for the menus look you got 4 rows in the razr skins... 4 rows of 3 and the last row on the button isnt there...yager had this on his mod but yah ermm when you go to select it you get taken out of the menu...

Dang that was fast, I just got your 6fr and 90r flex the way I like it. But I want to see how the reception is with this one. Also I look forward to having the free space. I have a transflash, but call id pics must be stored on the phone and voice dial records also. I ran out of room quickly with your other MP.

I had the reverse flip problem when flashing from factory to 6fr so I figured I'de try 90r and I still have the resevere flip problem. Any idea how I can fix this?

edit: I'm goign to try going back to 6dr, reflash 6dr, then put the multipack 90r back on. Hope this works and doesn't screw my phone up!

First I should say thanks to leukoplast for putting this together. I'm really glad people are still playing around with V635 MPs!

I've been using Yager's MP for 4 months without any problems. I'm curious if I should give this pack a go or just be happy my phone is currently working just fine. Has anyone upgraded from Yager's to this? What are your thoughts, was it worth it? What are the improvements?

I cant give you an answer on the yager question. And I cant tell you how good this is yet becuase I have only tested it for a couple of hours. I can tell you that so far so good. Menus are very fast, and I have had no freezing at all. Lueko really took alot of the bloat out of this MP compared to his last one. There are a couple of skins, 1 wallpaper and 1 game. I dig this becuase I have no need for 15 games, and I will delete most of the wallpapers and put my own on there. I cant wait to try out the reception, unfortunately I dont get a signal at my house. I was using 88r with no problems, but I couldnt resist.


Make a full backup and give it a try!

I just noticed in the v3 razr green theme, the analog clock is missing the numbers on the top right and cuts out part of the bottom menu. Also, when you shut off the phone the screen doesnt shut off, it just sorta blurrs out.

Yeah, i went ahead and fixed the menu problems. made the skins goto a 3x3 default, and there is no missing space were it would look like the icons should be.

Plus I got back to the normal MP3 player, and it works fine. (tested) so i will reupload tonight with the fixes.

Well, I cant tell you were to get RSD since, its copyrighted material.

But as for you not being able to download 6CR..or DR? Im not too sure what you meant by that.

if your on a 24 series, then goto www.motomoders.net get a membership(free) then goto the downloads section, goto firmware. then just find the V635 and download the Mp they have there. its a 6FR and its straight from motorola, and it was their last official download release and fixes a lot of problems. and will sucesfully upgrade a 24 series phone.

If you make a backup of your phone using Flash backup 2.62, then it will save all your files, and if you need to, restore your phone back to the way it was.

As long as you have backups, there really isnt any risk.

One thing that's annoying is the "WINAMP... it really whoops the Llamas ***!" every time u start the mp3 player.

yager was telling em the reason reverse flip happends is because your PDS is not updated.

what you need to do, is goto motomodders and download a copy of their 6FR monster pack(found in downloads section), it has a pds upgrade(I believe) flash it, then it will fix your problem.

But I suggest fixing with a 6FR, its one of the best softwares you can get.

yeah, I noticed that with the analog clock as well, but I couldnt find another copy of that skin. but if you can find me one, then I will try it out and include it on my Fixed MP tonight.

as for the screen thing, my phone has always done that. ever since I got it. I think its because the screen is LCD, and it almost burns an image onto the screen. So even though the phone is turned off a slight image will still remain.

I notice if you take the battery out, it gets rid of it. But I dont think its anything to worry about.

but I have a lot of different skins scattered around my comp, and I forgot which ones dont work.

haha, I know..I noticed it said that last night after I uploaded.

But dont worry I am making a Fix MP tonight that will have the 635 stock mp3 player, with no weird stuff attached to it.

LOL yeah but it only says it the very first time you run Winamp after you install! Not every single time! But I can play 192kbps mp3s now so I'm happy! I coulnt play over 128 before properly.

I flashed with this monsterpack and i loved it the second i started checking everything out. The only issue i had was that i can't access some websites when i log on to t-mobileweb, like mobile msn. Other sites work without a hitch, but with others i get a "page cannot be displayed" error message. the 10E6 flex works fine, but i can't figure out why i am having this strange issue with this one. leuko, or anybody else posting here, do you have any ideas?

I found that skin at motomodders...i think every single one of my skins was downloaded from there on my 6FR version.

They have a ton of em.

Its quite possible the websessions for regular t-mobile users needs to be updated.

Cause the one on there now works great for me, since Im on prepaid tmo, but it could be missing ports used for regular pay customers.

I know motomodders has the tmobile websessions for download, you could give those a try and see what happends.

yeah, its that red MP3 player, mine does it every time too.

But on my fixed version, there will be the regular mp3 player, no lama stuff.

and I did run a 192 kbs song on it and it seemed to work fine.

Excellent!! The green Razr skin is great don't think I've saw it before. Mp3 player rocks, and I gotta find that "WINAMP... it really whoops the Llamas ***!" in mp3 somewhere. I haven't tried everything yet still changing everything to how I like it, wish there was a profile and adress book folder or file somewhere you could just back up and load when you needed it. I'll know more tomorrow when I actually make a call, but right now its fast, smooth and appears solid.

Leuko are you planning to upload your games somewhere so people can load the ones they like?

I gave the websessions file from motomodders a try and I got the same problem. Maybe my V635 doesn't like the flex. Itwould really suck if it's just some simple fix that I just can't think of.

Hmm, that is odd.

You could always try flashing to another MP and trying on that to see if its my MP or your phone, or maybe tmobile is acting up.

I hope its not my MP, cause I wouldnt really know how to fix that problem.

Maybe, but for me to upload a 40 megabyte file would take days...its hard enough keeping a connection to upload a 14 MB file.

Just use bgnikos downloads for now, cause I got all my games from him, and his files.

and Im uploading a fix now, and Im getting rid of that MP3 player, too many glitches. so if you like it, back it up before you flash again to my fixed MP.

I flashed back to 6DR with the 10E6 flex and it worked with that. Then reflashed to 88R and 90R and still had no problem. It just doesn't seem to like the newer flex. Would you happen to have a 24R MP? I could start from the beginning and see if that works.

Well, if you flashed with other flashes and it worked fine, then its definatly a problem with my flex.

I will see what I can do, but Im not really sure were to start.

Hope I can fix it, because I want this to be fully functional and working perfectly.

I found a 24R MP and i flashed back to it. I'm flashing to 6FR as I'm typing this. I was having a problem with this flex too actually. My mobile web worked originally and then just stopped. So I'll see what happens when it's done. I don't know if it's your flex. I think it was a firmware problem on my end. I'll let you know.

It probably was the websession kinda thing.

because I was having problems as well because I made a java session and it messed up things a bit.

and I couldnt even get to tzones sometimes.

but the new websession file is working, and tested. so once you get back to my MP, load it up and give it a try.

Ok everybody got the Fix uploaded.

Here's what i fixed

-Skins working and no more glitches. 3x3 icon default, instead of the skin trying to load a 3x4
-deleted the bad red MP3 player, with the lama thing and put back on the original MP3 player. tested and works great.


I will make the link on my site tied in with this fixed MP, so you can get this through the same place you got the other 90R.

enjoy, and remember..any more problems let me know so I can fix it.

the only prob ive ever had with all your mp are NO COWBELL....WE NEED MORE COWBELL... lol just playing but really the only prob is that i can never get aim to work...i had to fix it myself each time by opening P2K menu editor and changing the aim back to IM and setting it up that way...once u change it back to IM you click on it and it said setup is not complete. then u hit setup and it changes to AIM with the running man....it already puts in my cingular settings...

then i put some of my own tweaks, you know, the way i like it....its all good....

but other than that solid MP good job



and still cant wait for your tutorial on making MP's

create your own websessions

momo site doesnt have their sessions updated that much....your provider will have all settings you will need to manually input all the info from your phone for the websessions check pout their website

Thanks for replying, ive finally got '6FR' (from motomodders) but i dont see what the point of having this is, if i dont have a way of safely upgrading the software. im sure if every1 else can get RSD Lite from somewhere im sure i should be able to, any help,
can i go straight to this MP or would i need a flash and then a reflash, as im still on 24
This was what came up when i tried downloading 6FR from rapidshare (same for others)
Possible reasons:
Download-session expired. Direct-links last a few minutes for free users and a few days for premium-users.
You requested this download-session from a different IP than yours. If you use AOL, try a different browser.
(i dont use AOL)

You should include a read me in the .rar giving a run down on the mp, you know it's gonna get passed around all over and people will forget whats in it. Maybe in the read me include a link to the thread you have it linked to. just a thought.

Does anyone know why some mp3s dont play properly? Like variable bit rate mp3s for example. Sometimes it jusy says file is not recognizable if I try to play through the Sound menu, and it doesn't show up in the MP3 player. Any ideas?

Variable rate MP3's don't work because - they don't work. 192k fixed rate is the best you can have. This has been covered many times on all the boards, but I won't say anything cuz the OP hates it when someone says "SEARCH." Apparently folks are too busy to bother gaining even the simplest knowledge on their own

You might try reading the V635 media guide at www.motocoder.com (a Motorola company site) to see what's acceptable.

I've been using Yager's MP for 4 months without any problems. I'm curious if I should give this pack a go or just be happy my phone is currently working just fine. Has anyone upgraded from Yager's to this? What are your thoughts, was it worth it? What are the improvements?

Thats the thing, AIM is used through your internet connection, wether it be through cingular or tzones, you have to set up the right websession to get it to work.

This was what came up when i tried downloading 6FR from rapidshare (same for others)
Possible reasons:
Download-session expired. Direct-links last a few minutes for free users and a few days for premium-users.
You requested this download-session from a different IP than yours. If you use AOL, try a different browser.
(i dont use AOL)


Well once you get a working copy of RSD, use the 6FR from motomodders, it isnt modded or tweaked..its basically what motorola released, so its pretty much perfect. dont go and use others, because who knows what people might have done.

and you should not flash from a 24 to this 90R, you must first goto a 6FR(or other 6 series) then you can flash to this.

Another Idea....I know that many people like the continental ringtone, including me. Since it does't work anymore beacause of the changes in the gain_table.bin, I thought that it would be a good idea to replace it with it's mp3 version found here: http://www.v710.org/mark/V710_Ringer/Continental.mp3

I wouldnt do it unless it was a serious issue.

so far, all of them are fixed, so I wont be doing another update so to say, but i will be working on a new MP for those who want lots of skins and games.

But it will be the same besides those two things for the most part.

nah, doesnt really matter what you use. as long as it flashes sucessfully its all good.

No, it wont show up as an icon, really the only place it will show up is in the device manager.

and Im not sure whats up with your phone, but its possible you have a locked phone and cant flash to it....or maybe your RSD isnt working properly, or you are just doing something else wrong. But check your PM's, I had a suggestion that might help.

those programs are named after the drivers capable in the phone, the V635 is considered a P2k phone.

and there is P2k drivers that must be installed before you can do anything with your phone.

but if you can get RSD to actually recognize the phone, then those drivers are probably already installed.

Yeah, there is a chance you had turned on Animation on Initial setup. if its off, then could you tell me which ones do it?

I was running 88r previously and the battery life is much better with luekos MP. Reception I am still testing, the same or maybe a little better. But the battery life is definetely better. Menus are alot faster, seem edits are good. Unless there is a major malfunction, I wont be going back to 88r.

yeah, the quick notes are probably part of the flex, so the lang pack wont touch them.

I might just maunally re-right them all back in.

When I initially got my phone all my quick notes were in Italian
I deleted them all figuring I'd put English ones in as I came up with some. I never did.

I'd just whack all the quick notes, and let the user add some if they really want them.

ok heres what i did to get aim working....i used p2k menu editor and changed aim back to IM then i took the cingular files from a cingular razor. which were the files in the wvim file, using p2ktools. and copied them to the v635 wvim folder...then i started IM and it said setup not complete enter screen name. so i entered screen anme and pass and it changed to AOL AIM with running little man...and poof it works....strange huh

It's not strange..it is expected, since muting the "external speaker system tone gain effects system tones coming out of the external speaker (reminder tone, style/volume change tone, Continental/Siren/Attention/Classic ringtones, low batt tone, service tone, autoredial ring, roaming ringtone)"...this is the price to pay for having no more annoying beeps on volume change....

My alarm works fine, but the ring tone "Continental"(annoying but good for alarms) doesnt work, its blank sounding. Also, I noticed since you turned off the system tone when the phone is closed, it doesnt make a sound, but if you listen, you hear the speaker make a sharp "pop".

I will flash to the new one when I get home. Is it a reflash, or do I have to back everything again? Did you just replace the link in the first thread with the new Mp?

According to xlr8:
Repurcussions of silencing the "soft key" tones:
--loss of reminder tones
--loss of battery low tones
--loss of Continental/Siren tones

I didn't think Alarm fall into there. Fixed no sound Alarm problem, restored to my original gain table file. Nothing is perfect, even my original gain table had the system tone set to 8. Set it to 1 make me happy.

Great job on the MP...

i actually got the alarm to work... i edited and set a different tone for the alarm. you have to remember that the continental tone on this MP does not play.

Pros...
- Speed!!!! Everything is so fast. I have to buckle up and feel the Gs!!!!
- Lots of room. I am working on having a pic for everyone in my phonebook. I am able to add what I like and do alot of things with all this free space....
- I finally found the game I wanted, and played for 2 hours.

Cons...
- AIM is unable to work. I have selected the Cingular websessions, but it still does not work....
- when i tried to charge battery while phone was off, he white screen of death shows up, and then it takes like 3 seconds for phone to start charging (should i be scared?)

I am trying to fix this problem as we speak.

But it turns out the alarm problem is only for a few alerts, the rest work fine.

the ones that dont work as as follows

continental
classic
attention
and siren


the rest work, and the way you can tell if when your in the alarm picking a sound, if you go over it, it will start playing the sound. and those are the only ones that dont play..and dont work. same goes for them in ring details..I dont know why they dont work though.

ahh, yes that makes sense.

well, I guess its one or the other. I will probably stick with what it has, since all the rest of the alerts and ring tones work fine.

It is another MP, just like the first, just with the fixed bugs.

Not sure if it will work or not, I havent heard anythign about it being used..so I am assuming it will not. Only way it could is if its a Java app.

Thanks, glad is workign good for the most part.

and I am working on fixing the AIM, and I say if it starts charging when the phone is off, dont worry about it. at least it is charging.

as far as i can remember, my phone has always done that, even with the standard Moto MP.

Hmm, I tried doing what you had said, and I tried uploading those file like you did, and I cant seem to get AIM to start blank, it always has my screen name there.

I am looking through the phones files to see if its logged somewere..but I cant find it.

so unless I want to start from scratch, AIM just might not work for some.

first you have to change aim back to IM using p2k menu editor then install those files, then run IM and it will ask you set it up...then it will change to AIM....the icon will change from IM to AIM

Hrmm I had all russion T9 text input so I added the language update. All it seemed to do was get rid of T9 completely. Maybe I used the wrong language update... which should I use?

ive done hella searching on this and came up with nothing new...and have only read that to get aim working u must take the wvim files from a cingular flex and put in your current wvim folder....ill look for t-mo settings

yes aim does work on t-mobile, us. ive been trying to get aim on there and just a couple of days ago i finally got it, after reading over everyones post slowly.

here's how i did it:

you need http://xlr8.us/hofo/ -- on there go to activating menu items for special features i think bullet point #12, where it says "as an example, i'm going to replace 'SIM applications"...." just follow those steps.
then you'll need http://xlr8.us/hofo/map.txt -- and you want SEEM 0032_0001 offset 52 - bit 6, 1 for on.

and ta-da, it works







t-mo seems alot easier to get going, then what i had to go through to get aim on cingular to work

yes aim does work on t-mobile, us. ive been trying to get aim on there and just a couple of days ago i finally got it, after reading over everyones post slowly.

here's how i did it:

you need http://xlr8.us/hofo/ -- on there go to activating menu items for special features i think bullet point #12, where it says "as an example, i'm going to replace 'SIM applications"...." just follow those steps.
then you'll need http://xlr8.us/hofo/map.txt -- and you want SEEM 0032_0001 offset 52 - bit 6, 1 for on.

and ta-da, it works







t-mo seems alot easier to get going, then what i had to go through to get aim on cingular to work

It doesnt uninstall it, it just takes it off the menu.

I'd like to get any feedback from users who were running Yager's monster pack and upgraded to this one. Just wondering if there's any real differences. FYI, I've been running Yager's for about 4 months and have never had any issues with it like others have. The only thing I have noticed is that it's slow to bring up files from the t-flash but I think that's more than likely because of the hundreds of megs of MP3s I have on there.

I have the slow trans flash access also, but I had that before this MP. Right before this MP I had put back on my orginal moto s/w and there wasn't any speed difference that I could tell. Like you, I thought it was 600+ meg of mp3's, pics, videos and junk. I use my t/f like a jump drive sometimes so that has alot to do with it I guess.

Sit back and think about what you're talking about.

Flash isn't as fast as RAM, so I don't see how the heck transflash can be as fast as the internal memory of the phone. Last time I looked, transflash doesn't even have a little 12X or 48X on it

Besides, the transflash is likely going thru some kind of bus that's not going to be anywhere near as fast as that which connects the CPU to the RAM.

So, you take a piece of slow media, pack a bunch of files on it and of course it's gonna be slow. Read thru some posts about other phones that take transflash - transflash is always slower than the internal memory.

Yeah for sure it's faster that way when you want to transfer files back and forth. In fact that's what I do. As for this MP, I guess I could just try it out and see how it works with my phone. Just curious though, should I be able to go from the Yager one to this new one or do I have to downgrade first?

leukotic, i was curious. i decided that i was going to start using opera mini as my web browser instead of the motorola one. Do you have it set up to use the WAP settings for T-Mobile or should I configure a new websession with an HTTP service type? I just don't want to get charged for any data traffic other than my 4.99 t-zones.

No, you can go straight to it, since yagerrs was a 90r..as is this one, so there is no need to downgrade or upgrade to get it to work.

You have to set up the appropriate java session.

and Im not sure how it goes as charging, you may want to search that up.

On the V635 the transflash is accessed through the camera controller chip. So it is a hack basically that has all read/write commands routed through the camera circuitry.This adds to the slowdown.

Well, it worked with the T-zones gprs websession you put in there without a problem. I was just curious if I "should" be using the java session or if it didn't matter. But it does work with both.

well, if it works with the regular, then I guess thats fine.

I was never able to get it working without the java session.

But maybe the java session wont charge you extra.

Its because its set to use a picture, not text.

You need to seem edit to fix the problem

I thought it was seem 004a_0001 to get text on outer screen? And the text you want to see in seems 0061_0001 and backup 0062_0001.

Ok, I have made another update, not much added but a few things.

-New DRM's
-Fido session added
-added 2 more great skins.
-Took AIM off main menu, and its now only found in office tools.
-AIM may be working now...but its in testing.(works for me)
