Eh, most of the time I find that you dont read as much as you should, but whatev, its all good.

But yeah the rare flax is the asia flex, thats the original one that normally comes with the 90R, and its rare because, though you can find a few places to download it..but for soem reason the way they made the MP's doesnt allow us to flash to our phones properly, the flex is incomplete on those MP's, and so far nobody can actually get a working downloaded copy.

The only reason I was able to get it was because somebody had given out a backup of thier phone that had it and I extracted the right amount from the flex and got it working in a MP,which cant be said for the other GC asia flex's.

But I do believe its the latest flex out, and mixed with the 90R its a pretty good match, since both are the latest firmware and flex out for the 635.

So should be interesting nonetheless.

So. . . may I ask which language pack is coming with it then, 0039 or 002E? I'm personally hoping for 0039, but if not you're right, it's not that hard to get it. I always paste it in with shxcodec before I flash, but I think there's so way where you can just flash the LP itself later, but I'm not exactly sure how it's done. Anyway, thanks for everything Leuko, I'm stoked to try out the *newest* flex tomorrow night!!!!

I got some good news for anybody who is curious about making their own 635 MP. I made a fully instructional guide with pictures and files included.

I´ve notice that even when i put NETWORK->NETWORK SETUP->SPEED: SLOW
the speed of tower refresh is still CONTINUOS (therefore, drains battery a lot)

Basically, i can see that on the Signal meter, cuz it changes the amount of bars really fast, when with previous flashes it used to change waaaaay slower than on this one..
Am I the only one seeing this? cuz its making my batt last for like a day!

Not too sure, Its a new flex..so it could just be that. I dont know much about network connections.

but my battery seems to do fine, I can leave it not being charged for like 3 days without one bar going down.

Alright Leuko. Flashed to the new 2.0.0. Still impressed but some questions were raised this time. I saw the new edition of the MP and SIMS 2 Mobile. I noticed you took out the cool skins. Can you possibly put a list up of things you changed or improved? Thanks a lot.

Excellent job on the 2.0 MP. This thread is getting big, I was hoping Leuko would start a new one. Anyway, hadn't found any problem, yet.

P.S. I don't like the new MPT 4.04. It take forever to restore the phonebook and contacts.

I don't have a 512.gif in the a/ directory. I uploaded the new 512 anyway, and its still the motorola logo with the circles around it. (I did restart the phone)

I had a list fo things that I wasnt going to include for many reasons, its back a page or so.

and basically things that I added is just the flex, wih a few seem edits.

nah, no reason to start another one. it would just use more space than needed.

since this thread is dedicated to everything 90R, and my other thread was for all 6FR firmware comments.

there was something I noticed, when you turn off the phone the powerdown mp3 plays really low...I have tried a few gain tweaks, but I cant seem to raise its volume.

you can always turn up the MP3/MIDI gain to see if it suits your needs.

cause I turned it up from 01 to 03 and it seemed a bit loud, to the point were it would hurt the speaker. But I may add it in on the next small update.

No, sorry. But 2.0 is the next step up from 1.2.3.

One reason is there was so many problems with 1.2.3...I needed to just leave that and start a new, because all the previous problems would have just stayed, and that wasnt worth it to me.

But I will tell you this, I am eventually going to be making a heavier 2.0.1 MP, but I will leave the 2.0.0 up for download.

so just keep that in mind.

Yes, I didnt include the 512 directory seems, I have them below as attachments, so go ahead and upload them and it will load your 512.gif picture.

Installed the Ver. 1.2.3 on my V635 and love it. Have always wanted the funlights when someone calls but didnt wanna ruin the phone in any way my not seeming correctly. Thanks for all you have done. I do have 2 questions comments:

1. Is there any way to change settings so the backlight will turn off after receiving a message and not stay on until a button is pressed?

2. In the final screen before sending an SMS the send (or 'done') button is now on the opposite side from the original motorola settings, is it possible to change that?

Yes, there is a way to change it. Look in your Initial Setup, the option is in there.

and I dunno about the SMS thing, and no, cant fix it since Im done with the 1.2.3 version. I am currently upgrading and updating the 2.0.0 version.

I dunno, but I have never been able to get my own custom MP3 startup to work...and I have tried everything.

The only thing that will work is the standard MP3 that plays, but for some reason the phone wont read other MP3's

So if you do figure it out, let me know what you did. Cause I cant get it to work either.

I didnt add any new skins, the only thing there was the original ones.

so maybe you just installed them wrong.

yeah, I forgot files and folders were case-sensitive, and I played around with a fresh gain_table, so I solved both problems

I'm staying with this one, no problem with icons or Opera(even if I dont use it)

I take back what I said. This doesnt suck at all. Chances are it's even more flexible than 1.2.3

The infamous SEEM for activating Custom Startup Sound has been discoverd once and for all.

Known SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 22 [Set 01] for activating Custom Startup Sound has not worked properly up till now.
I found out that there is one more SEEM edit to make Custom Startup Sound to work properly 100%. To turn on Custom Startup Sound, both SEEMs have to be edited!

New SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 24 > bit 3 [Check]

Custom Stratup/Shutdown animation:

a. Create Custom startup/shutdown (custwakeup.gif & custgoodbye.gif) animation (176 x 220) and store them in /a/ folder.

b. Deactivate Moto startup animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 1D > bit 3 [Uncheck]

c. Deactivate Moto shutdown animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 31 > bit 0 [Uncheck]

d. Activate Custom startup (custwakeup.gif) animation - SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 23 [Set 01]

e. Activate Custom shutdown (custgoodbye.gif) animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 46 > bit 0 [Check]

f. Splash screen (not an animated GIF):

Thanks for the reply Leuko, love the MP btw. I checked all of my seems and they were correct. It was the file name that was wrong. I had Start~up.mp3, and it should have been Cust_Start~up.mp3. After changing the name everything is kosher.

yes they are...maybe setting the master gain to 09, but that would mean lowering the other settings in the gain_table, or other things will be too loud.

lol its still there, you just have to manually type in the address to get there. Or do a search for games and howardforums on google and it will get you there.

Yesterday a put the Yagermod MP in my cell, but i have to say that im very worried with the problems mentioned with this MP in many foruns arround internet. I want to migrate. I want to flash the leukoplast MP, but, theres something that i need to do before flashing my v635?

I just need to make a backup and use the Multiflashflex whith the MP from Leukoplast?

My status today is:
S/W: R474_G_08.48.90R_01
Flex: GSMV635YEAGERMOD

Since you already have 90R, there is nothing to do before you flash to Leuko's MP. Do the same as before, backup before you flash. I used MultiflashFlex last year, now I am using RSD Lite 2.6.(currently testing 2.7). Most people recommend using RSD Lite now.

If I were you dont worry about it so much, anything that you do to your phone can be reversed and fixed.

even if my MP doesnt work for you, you can just flash back to yagers and it will be as if you never did anything.

Best shot would always be to backup your phones files with Flashbackup, that way if something does go wrong and you cant flash back, you can use FB and it will recover your phone like brand new.

and I think the internet problems are fixed with this flex, those problems were all of my 1.2.3 version..which had some probs with internet...but I think some people have said that it works fine with this one.

so just try, it wont hurt. You can always go back to the way it was if you want to.

Flashing to Leuko's MP should do the trick. Just make sure to do a full backup incase of any problems. Then you can drop your custom gain table in afterwards.

hey, i just flashed your new MP v2.0, but i had a few problems. it was workin fine at first, but all the sounds are really low. also, i was using it, and it started freezing, and wouldn't turn on, until i had to take out the battery, sim card and mem card, and put them bak in. mite jus be from my phone but not sure. neways, i wanted to fix the mp3 gain using the seem edit, but im kinda new to it, i downloaded my seems using p2kman, but it doesnt read any files on my fone when i click update list. is there a better program than p2kman to do this, or is there a way to fix this? by the way, i tried doing the registry edit that was in the documentation of p2kman but couldnt find the string in the registry that they were talking bout.

Yeah, the sounds are low for some reason, and its not the gain tables...its the flex.

I am working on making a few adjustments...but sadfully the flex seems to have that problem, and I dunno how to fix it.

and the freezing must be your phone, cause I havent had that problem yet.

Only time I have to remove the battery and put it back in for the phone to turn it on is when I put it in BL mode, and I usually cant get it back unless the batt gets taken out and put back in...but thats said for every MP I have used.

and I dont know about P2kman...If I was you I would just reflash the phone.

and its possible your PDS isnt were its supposed to be, so try MPing the 6FR at Motomodders if you havent yet.

look through the sms setup, you probably just have the wrong sending number.

I've never done it, but I do know people have messed up their phones. dont know to what degree..but its best to never do that.

I dont think you get a problem i now that get the rsd lite restart the phone at the end of the flash the computer cant read it `cause the conexion mode is in memory card....

Leuko: i was reading in other forum that perhaps we can activate the airplane mode in the v635 i found the seem is 0032 and you can activate it with the p2k advanced editor by serching for "air"...

But i cant found the icon to add in configuration menu....

Yeah, I know about airplane mode...I didnt think it was even worth activating, but maybe I will just for the hell of it.

and about the new seem discovery, tell me what bits you activated. because it works fine on my phone.

Yeah, just like ficofer said, it should be ok to go back and fourth to 6FR and 24 series.

I know it does 6FR easily..but I've never tried with a 24.

I have search all over and my conclusion is that in some way, this flash modified something that now is not allowing me to send SMS... I even upload the seems (0032 to 0001) from a V635 from a friend of mine and transfer them to my phone and it is stil not able to send messages... It is a shame because everything else works perfect, menues are fast, opera working, etc.. I don't want to go back to other MP...

I thoguth the 2.0 wasn't suposed to include most websessions so you might want to try uploading the websession for your provider in order to get the SMS to work. I have yet to flash to 2.0 so maybe someone else could shed some light on this but if you read the thread, Leukoplast stated the 2.0 would be a chopped down version to eliminate issues.

Anyone else having this problem?

Phone is fully charged (and still plugged-in). Pull up Opera Mini and load a page. Battery meter suddenly drops... down to 1 bar, maybe even 0 bars (turns red), flashing... then, once the page finishes loading, the battery meter quickly steps back up while still blinking... 1 bar, 2 bars, 3 bars, then steady again: full charge. Even happens with the phone plugged in the entire time.

Any ideas?

would you happen to have just the flex for your 90R v2.0.0 MP??? I screwed around with the SEEMs too much and I can't get into the Ring Styles & Personalize menus, and I'd like to go back to the original settings without losing the skins and settings i've applied...

btw, call me a noob, but from what i know, a flex contains just the SEEMs (i.e. settings), nothing else, right??? can i just reflash with a flex file to reset the settings???

if you don't have the flex, can i just reflash the who MP over itself???

or maybe you could include the default SEEMs (important ones, 004a, 0032, 0061, 0062) so I can try to solve the problem...

Flex has every single setting, including skins, wallpapers, personalized settings, etc etc. so a flex would do you no good if you dont want to lose your skins.

But yes, it also includes all the seems.

what you can do, since I dont have those seems anymore (modded them to fit the next version) you can just backup your files now with flashbackup, then flash to my MP again, extract the seems you want, then restore back to your other version (with skins) and just apply the seems.

Well, I have to admit I am kind of new on this, but I don't see any conection between the websessions (wap and internet conection thorugh phone work fine) and the SMS... I already verified the center message number with my phone provider and everything looks OK... they even gave me an alternate number which doesn't work either... By reading on comments, I have noticed that I am not the only one with this problem... I already tried uploading seems from a working phone to mine and it didn't work....

I think that is not the problem because it happens all the time, no matter if I have opera on suspense mode. Many friends of mine have had the same problem after they flash their phones but they have been able to solve it by uploading seems from a working phone... I know that I can solve it by going back to 24R or 6FR (hopefully, otherwise I would be very scared) but I don't want to leave 90R which I consider excellent...

the low mp3 thing is weird indeed

you can set the gain_table a lil bit higher, but it be careful not to set it too high
3 is the recommended setting for mp3 output, so you can try 4, but for some files 4 is too much...too weird

Nah, turning up the gain table..were it isnt normally needed shouldnt happen.

I've actually figured out the problem and the next version will have the higher volume on the MP3s and ringtones. That problem is fixed.

the SMS may be fixed,,,but I dont SMS so I cant test it.

I ran it in the russian language because i don't know how to change it to english. It has the ability to rewind/fastforward, loads fast and can run in the backround therefore, letting you access the phone menu and listen to music at the same time. It's is pretty straightforward. on second thought there's some things that need to be screwed around with with this lightplayer. Better stick with the 5.0.17 version unless anyone here can mess around this it and fix it up. Need to pick a night sometime to go through my 1239871984579 games and figure out which work on the V635 heh. Is Midway still the current favorite to upload games to the V635? Want to be careful as I seriously hosed my Java apps once using another program.

Supposedly it's possible to upload Java apps via Bluetooth but I haven't figured out just how to go about it...

I figured out why that happends.

Because it happend to me too, it worked, then before I knew it the option was gone.

Turns out you need Bootloader version 8.21 (may be others..but this I have tested)

and it doesnt work with a 07D0 BL.

Im not sure why, but this is why it wont work for you.

The DRM`s are the code 15 (cg15) in any MP they are all the images from phone (battery,signal,blutooth logo,receiving sms, sending sms, line icon, etc) there is some guide where you can learn how to mod them,

I dont think that we can save mp3 on the TF and then and then set them as ringtone yet... perhaps some hide seem... dunno...

and unlucky we cant turn the flash on while video recording yet... sorry is a bad news for everyone...

Well, I know you can use Pics from the TF card as your phonebook entry...but I dunno about MP3's from the TF.

if the seem is avaliable and known...I most likely activated it, so give it a try. see what happends.

and the flash with video so far, hasnt been diccovered.

what is the best boot for you?

If you want to try the mod then you will have to. Nothing wrong with 8.21 you just cant backup your files with FB when you have 8.21.

the bootloader you need to stay away from is 8.26..that one makes it so you cant flash, or do anything.

But definatly the most versitile BL is 07D0, its pretty much flawless in all aspects. Except it cant see this seem mod..and who knows what other things we are missing because of BLers.

ok, ive been searching EVERYWHERE but can't seem to find an arabic language pack for the v635. i found for the v3 razr, bout doubt it will work since bootloader version is different and v3 is r374, not r474. does anyone know where i can find an arabic language pack for v635.

I can certainly tell you that its the reason why you cannot send MMS, about sms I doubt, try configuring this options with a full working & configured v635 or v3 (it has the same menus).

Could the dash (-) between the numbers when sending a SMS be causing the error?
By the way, when I upload the seems 0032 to 0001 from a working phone to mine, the dash kept... Does it mean that I uploaded the seems wrong? I know that sometimes this error can be solve by changing those seems...

I got my SMS to work after having TMO send me the settings again.

However, I can not send MMS msgs now. If I take a pic, then send it, it gets to 91% and fails, regardless of the size.

I couldn't change the operator name when my phone was still locked to Rogers.
Once I unlocked it, i was able to change it to anything i wanted.

seem 0032, offset 4B, bit 6 must be set to "0"
in some cases, seem 0032, offset 02, bit 1 must be set to "0" also (this will make the phone line icons always show)

Wont happen.

unless you want to sauder some circuitry on your phone, the V635 will never have the bluetooth API.

Another excellent game (I think that it is the best one for cell phones) is Asphalt II... it looks very nice and the screen size is perfect for it... another interesting program that could be added to a MP is MSN...

1) I have 90R (leukoplast) MP, Am I supposed to have unlimited video recording when choosing to record on the phone? (I just can record on the phone about 1 minute and some seconds. I think that when recording in the TF it is unlimited)

2) Do you know better programs to use than motocam, softcam, crack softcam when using our V635 as a webcam? the problem with motocam is that you have to use it along with the other two programs, it is very messy and the webcam quality is not very good.

Just wanted to say thanks to leukoplast for this great MP! My husband had given up on his v635 that was nonfunctional here in the US and put it back in the box to sell. I talked him into letting me try this MP and now he can't put it down. Thanks for all the work you put into this. I'll be watching for future projects from you for sure!

Yeah, a lot of them say that, Im not sure why. But if you read the user comments..all the ones who have V635, say

"this doesnt work for my phone, even though it said it does!"

trust me, any Java program will not work with bluetooth. Because the 635 doesnt have that JSR-82 BT API.

its like if somebody said

"I want a camera on my non-camera phone"

Its essentiallty the same thing, its a hardware issue.

The video recording on my MP, is currently set to 1 hour. and is in MP4.

and I cant help you with the webcam thing, I had heard that the 635 couldnt do webcam. and its got low quality because the 635's video camera sucks ass.

Any suggestions on how to back up my Opera Mini bookmarks for the inevitable future event of flashing with a new MP? I can handle my address book and websessions, and don't mind manually adding my other Java games... but entering in all those URLs took forever.

Question #2: Is it possible to store Java games (maybe with their settings too) on the transflash card?

You could try downloading OM from your phone, it might save all its settings, and bookmarks. Then reinstall it to your phone and see if its all still there.

Unfortunately, as Leukoplast says, there is no way to have mobiluck working on our V635. I have done some research everywhere and there is no way. We can only have a simple way of bluejacking by sending a contact (just allow 24 characters)... today I was able to send one of those succesfully!!

I dont think its possible to use on the 635. its probably the same kida deal as with the BT and java, were it needs a API..and without it, you cant get it to work.

I have tried a few different recording ones today..and none were sucessful.

You could probably use something like P2Ktools to back up the contents of the /kjava folder. I haven't tried this yet though. Probably someone else who has will pipe in to confirm or correct me.

All java apps can be easily backup/saved using Moto Midlets Manager(some use Midway, it is not as easy to use for average user). Then it can be installed back to any phone anytime you like.

I owe it to you yo help because if you didn't release the monster packs I wouldn't have my V635 anymore man. I looking more into making one myself but I trust you a little more.
