So basically, my old Samsung phone is beat to hell and it's time for a new phone. I'm on a family plan with Cingular, so it has to be a Cingular phone. I guess I'll just list the features that would be ideal.

Required:

Preferable:

I'll try and think of more, but do any phones immediately jump to mind? Money isn't a huge issue, but preferably nothing more than $200. If you need any more info I'll do my best to answer it.

Thanks.

how about instead of a flip, how about a turning phone?? i'd recommend the Sony Ericsson W600i. its a really good phone with all the functionallity and memory to store your mp3 ringtone, pictures and videos. and is pretty cheap too (unless you buy the phone without a contract)

Bump, any other suggestions?

the sony ericsson z520a fits your list and your price. i wouldn't trade mine for anything.

do you have trouble with the z520's 'touchy' camera button?

not personally ... it seems to be a hit or miss thing. I just ordered another one as an upgrade to a line on my plan, the button on it is a bit more sensitive than mine but still no real problem.

When you say it has to be a Cingular phone, do you mean you want a contract phone, or an unlocked GSM phone that will work with Cingular? If the former, I'd recommend the Motorola V557 or the Sony Ericsson W600i. If the former, you've got many to choose from, but I think the Sony Ericsson W810i would be best, as it's quad-band (850 MHz + 1900 MHz for NA) and features EDGE, which is standard with Cingular.
