Yeah, just washed my w600i, won't turn on. What can I do?! XBM more than likely won't take a water damaged phone. Would I have to go through Insurance? How much would it be for me to get a new phone?!

IF you have lockline insurance on your account it would be a $50 deductable.

Thats going to be cheaper than getting caught by XBM for water damage and less than buying the phone at full cost in a store.

at the rate u going with this phone i suggest a different model. ur on ur 3rd one already.

Posted by: Rok3nIt

Yeah, I know. So 50+ the phone's cost or just 50 dollars for the whole thing? Say I got a f9200 or a slvr, would it be like 300 dollars or 50?

Posted by: Rok3nIt

Wait, 50 Dollar deducatable meaning the phone at new contract price minus 50 dollars? Or like full retail price minus 50. If so, I might have to be stuck with a c2000... someone please keep me posted. I have never used lockline, and I am confused.

where tripy cause i don't have insurance on my phone so i am clueless

Posted by: Rok3nIt

Me neither, wouldn't it look obvious if I add insurance and like then a few days later come in, oh I left my phone in my pocket and it went for a spin.

Posted by: ItalianAngel831

that fraud they would not let u do that i know that much

Posted by: Rok3nIt

But I really did wash my phone, what do they expect me to do, keep it and go phoneless? I don't think so...

Posted by: ItalianAngel831

no buy a new phone right out the no contract price $$$$$ how do u think they r gonna make money they live for customers like u who don't have insurance that y u should always have a back up phone just in case. when i get a new phone i always keep my old just in case i may need it. or u could buy a go phone as a back up. shame u don't have ur sim card or if it still good just go buy a go phone and put ur sim card in the phone there u go. u got a phone. now if u need a sim card too they may charge u $25 also u lost all ur contacts (i am sorry about that i know that a pain seriously) but if u do go buy a new phone ask for the insurance this time when buying the new phone. hth

If you have insurance on your account the deductable is $50 and then they send you out a new phone, nothing more to pay after the $50.

Yes. You did read your user agreement, right?

What's the problem? Your phone is cleaner, right?

If you washed your phone and it does not work still, is that Sigular's problem?

Ok if i read this correctly the op doesn't have insurance, you can't just go add it now. They usually do some sort of check (ie look @ it in the store or check and see if you're calling from that phone) from my understanding. If you try to add it now and then go claim the phone that is insurance fraud. Your only option basically is to buy a new phone and at that point I would advice adding hte insurance to it. Its $5/month i believe (its been a while since i've looked at my bill in detail) and if anything like that happens again it will only cost you $50 to get a new phone as opposed to 200+ (depending on the new phone you decide to purchase).

Didn't this guy recently post about going through 2-3 Razrs...

If you don't have insurance then you SOL, discussion on ways to commit insurance fraud (eg. not having it on your account, damaging your phone, and then asking how to add it to your account) will not be entertained in here.

Buy one used, check out the HOFO BST forum, try ebay, buy a phone at full cost through customer care...you have pleanty of options.

The OP has enough to go on, so good luck with your situation.
