Has anyone experienced this problem? Since I have received my 8125 I have been setting off the door alarms at various stores. I have been forced to leave my phone in the car to avoid this problem. Anyone know how to fix it or experience the same thing?

Its the weirdest thing.

Did you put one of them antenna booster things on the phone?

Mine has yet to do what you describe.

That shouldn't set it off and i dunno why anyone these days would use one of those things, they're worthless. Its almost like there's a soft tag inside the phone thats setting off the alarms when he walks through, its been known to happen. Friend of mine has a wallet that does it. I use to work @ a retail store with him and about ever few weeks he'd have to put his wallet on one of the pads to 'deactivate' it. I'd look at it and make sure there's no stickers or anything that looks out of place.

Thats definately weird. I definately don't have that problem with my 8125.

There is a maganet inside the 8125 to trigger the screen orientation when keyboard sliding out. That may be the cause for your situation. I never had any such problem with mine. Sounds like the retailers in your area are using pretty old alarm systems.

My friend with a LG vx4500 has this problem. It has a magnet that activates the inside screen when open. That may be an issue with yours as well.

As a prank we put one of those security tags on the back of a friends' battery just so he'd set off door alarms. It took him a month to figure out becuase it didn't set off every alarm.
Not likely your case.
Ah well, Karma shall get me back for that one day.

Very odd. I've never had this problem with the 8125 that I had. Have you emailed or called HTC about this issue?

The only thing you can do is wait for the day.
