Customize Home screen on WM5, SDA

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have SDA and I would like to be able to modify the home screen. The only way is the settings/home screen section, which can only change it with preset screens such as t-mobile, default, windows default, wireless, msn default, etc.

I would like to make my own, select what to show, such as wifi status, e-mails, last calls, etc.. or anything I would like to show.

I found several tools that works on 2003 but not on WM5.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thank You!

OK, I was able to modify the home screen, via changing/moving/cutting-pasting, etc from other xml's and combining them.
Just go to Application Settings / Home directory, and look for .xml files.
You can easily modify <plugin> sections, ending with </plugin> you can cut and paste it in another .xml home screen, this will give you a good home screen.

Do a search - there are lots of posts about how to do this...Check modaco.com also.

Yeah, I ended up doing one myself (combining a few)

Get Facade

Pay for it.... It only creates xml for you, that you can very easily do yourself..
If you can find a list or pack of plugins for WM5, and if you can create some nice wallpapers, you can do the same yourself.

Facade is free, if you only want to do .xml editing, and not have an interface on the phone that allows adjustment.

Free? Since when? I coulnd't find it.

Sure, you cannot do much on the phone, xmls need to be edited by hand on PC, although you can still edit if you find a good dox editor for wm5 on sp.`

Facade v0.9 is free.
