I sold my sister in law my Razr V3i and the whole time i had it, it got great reception. Then, the day after I gave it to her she was talking to me on it during a storm and the signal droped. Now she gets horrible reception everywhere and in her house where she has always gotten full signal. Her dad still has ful signal on his black Razr. She is getting droped cales left and right. Could it have anything to do with the storm? We have ruled out it being the SIM card. She has put it in several different phones and they all work fine and has tried other SIMs in her phone and the reception problems are there. If anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong I would love to hear them. Oh, and she has done a Master reset and also taken out the SIM and the battery and put the battery in, turned the phone on and taken the battery back out without turning it off. Nothing has helped. We are stumped. Thanks for any help!!

Sounds like it needs to be flashed with new software, we do not do it but I am sure you could find someone on here that does. But my warning to you comes in advance, if you attempt to play with flashing a file you put your phone at risk at completly destroying it. Try contacting Motorola for warranty repair, its your safest bet. And if you get a rep that says no its an international model try another rep again and again till you find someone that says yes. Most are lazy and dont want to do their job. They just answer the phone and wait for the pay check every friday.

You have been warned, proceed as you wish.

Thank you for suggesting this. I flashed and flexed my old V600 with no problems, but now I can't get my pc to recognize any software with the V3i except Motorola Phone Tools. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything and I still can't get any of the software to work. Nothing!! So I suggested to my sister in law that I Flash her phone but she wants no parts of it. I told her that I could try it on her computer, but she refuses. She wants to just try and get money from it on CellForCash.com. She thinks that would be better in case we end up messing up the phone. Well, I hope that when CellForCash makes a test call on the phone that it works or she's not gonna get anything for it anyway. Man, she only going to get $114 from them if it does work. That's a lot less than what that phone is worth.
