V3 Razr or W600i - please vote

What do you prefer V3Razr or W600i ? Don't know what to buy.

I vote for the RAZR!
It ACTUALLY had less problems than my w600i, and I now know how to fix the razr problems. Call volume! Moto kit or mobile phone tools I believe, you can adjust the in call volume and the ringer volume to go over the max. I believe on the scale, since it goes to 7, it would be considered a 9 or a 10. The razr was a beautiful phone, my favorite, but the w600i, not so much. Doesn't really appeal to me. Sorry.

Basically, true, the RAZR is simple. A simple phone that does everything with a camera.

The w600 is a walkman with a 1.3 mp camera. It does what a walkman does ( why not 512 mb and the w600 would get HIGHER rating.) When you want to take a picture, snap with 1.3 mp camera! That's why w600 is better... although with new firmware update; even better.

I have owned both. Although the w600i is more glam, the 1.3 MP camera doesn't fascinate me. Now my 12 MP Digital camera does. The walkman is basically a simple add on for me, I have a video iPod. I hate the keypad on the w600i, the only thing I really like about it to be honest is the MEdia net. Other than that, The RAZR get's my vote.

BTW, The w600i is FAT! I got used to the skinny razr, and from that to this cheetoh, sorry SE. Don't ask me why I don't like my w600i as much as I should, but I just dont. RAZR won me over, Moto Possessed me with their beauty. Kind of like PH. ;-)

Cant even mention the 2 in the same sentence, w600 all the way, i went thru 3 razrs in a month and that was enough for me, dust in screen, bluetooth failed, terrible ui,restarting by itself, batterylife suddenly went short, buzzing in the earpiece and plus its a basic moto dating back to the v600 no difference except a differnt package.

Sure, but does the v3i have a difference UI, I thought I saw the font was smaller and it was supposed to be a little faster? I might own one of those. When is cingular going to get them?

I personally also think w600i is a "weird" phone by SE. The w700i came out, and I was like you suck SE, why did you release a w700i with a 256 MB stick.... why couldnt the w700i = w600i!!

If the w600i was a phone of the form factor of a "w800i" style, a 256 mb memory stick, 1.3 MP Camera equilvant to the s710a, then the w600i would be considered a winner. But it isnt. That's why i want the w810i, as I was pissed it didnt come out earlier when I got a new phone plan.

I mean, is this 'really' a choice? Sony, all the way; it wins purely on features. Don't get me wrong I like the Razr for size, and 'James bond' appeal, but that's it...

My razr never froze up and didn't respond, WSOD'ed me, gave me internet problems, had very weak RF, when I could tell anyway, the bars jumped from full to none to one to full and so on, my battery bar was messed up, I never knew how much battery I had, It showed "full" for 2 days straight, then I woke up in the morning and it wouldn't even turn on! The only thing my razr did was have low call volume, and now I can fix that! Loving the moto mod stuff! and that is why I am ditching my w600i.

I am on my second XBM right now, and it is acting up. I really don't want to go through it all again, is there a way just to get a different one now? I would really like to go back to a silver razr!

BTW, the camera on the w600i is nothing to brag about, the camera is EMBARRASING inside, and sure, better outdoors in sunlight, but I take more pictures inside than outside. I am not expecting it to be some 10 MP or something, but if my .3 MP cam on my RAZR takes better pics than my 1.3 MP on my 600, that says something.

yeah, it sure does say something. it says that you must have some of the world's most terrible luck because you keep on getting dudd after dudd after dudds with your W600i.

I myself have had my W600i since day one and it has been nothing short of amazing. I think its an embarassment to the W600i to be even remotely classified in the same area as the Razr.

after all, everyone knows the Razr litterally has never had anything going for it other than looks, period, end of story.

The w600i is better in every single category....plus, since every Aunt May has a Razr, the w600i gets more looks and comments.

Forget the RAZR. It's an enormous gimmick. It's the same damn thing as the v600, but in a different case. It's a phone and that's about it. The w600i does so much more!

I'll take better reception and voice quality over a walkman and a better camera any day. i have an ipod and 8mp digital camera for that. so i pick the razr, never had a problem and i love the form factor. w600 is a fat brick.

the razr is more of a midrange phone now. the w600i has a lot more features, but its a lot bigger. and i had really bad luck with it (i went through two of them, decided to sell #3).

so i dont know, cant say that i can recommend either one....

W600i is cheaper than the razr.

W600i has many more features.

W600i has a better everything.

The vote is clear.

Unless you want to step it up to a V3i...

I just resigned my contract for 2 years for the W600. If I dont like it, I will sell it, but two of my friends have them and I think its a really neat phone.

i have a w600 now and really dont like it anymore. Thinking of ebaying it and getting the RAZR from my GFs work (works for a sub dealer of Cingular) for $80. I have never really been happy with my w600. The MP3 player does work really well, but its still not a great phone. I think the Cam sucks on it, but I have a dSLR so I am spoiled when it comes to digi pics. and my reception isnt that good. I jus thavent been happy with it... trying to decide what to do with it

I have had my w600i since April 24th already, and not only do I think this is a great phone for all it's features, I have also had great reception. However, I am coming from a T610 from T-Mobile, and this phone completely blows that out of the water. As for the RAZR, I've used my brothers, and my friends, and I also used the Samsung A900 that another friend of mine has, and all in all, i think the w600i is the best of that crop.

Well, I just love it, and for outdoor pics, the camera is awesome.

Indoors, the camera does suck though.

However, the phone as a package is awesome, and the phone as a phone never worked better!

And I have never experienced a W.S.O.D.

I have owned both phone in the past and what it comes down to is what you are looking for in a cell phone. Realize that it is a cell phone, and a cell phone is used to make calls. Therefore, I feel the Razr is a better fit. Based on form factor alone, you cant beat it. Also, the RF is a bit stronger than the w600i.

btw - although VGA quality, the Razr camera is not THAT bad.

If you want the best of both worlds pick up a v3i.

I've got to agree, I just got a razr today and the VGA camera is defintely better than the VGA camera on my old Sanyo 8200.

The RAZRs UI is old and outdated (also a little buggy), and now theyre just to common you see the EVERYWHERE....

ended up exchanging the razr for a (drum roll) W600 and reception and the UI are way better and it has a louder earpiece as well.

The weak average consumer part of me wants to keep going back to the razr.

But the HOFO guru in me knows very well that the w600i SMOKES the razr in every sort of way; it's not even CLOSE!!!

I've got an MP3 player-a serious MP3 player that is
1.3 megapixel camera-best camera on a phone I've ever had
SE ui is good also.
Calls are crystal clear-I truly am cellular only now

Its just not a contest!

The SE w600 is a much better choice over the RAZR. It has a tremendous advantage in functionality and media options. RAZRs only get by now because of their hype.
