what programs or how can i use mp3s as my ringtone and alarms. i would prefer not to buy anything unless the program is really good. thanks for your help in advance.

ps. is there a version of HoFo for pocket pc/pda... im typing this on my 8125 btw

u need no programs. you can put the MP3s in the main part of the MINI SD, dont put in any folders. you can select ringtones from there. or you can put WAV files in the main WINDOWS folder on the device. or WAV in the "Rings" folder on the device.

i have a quick question about message notification tones...i tried puttin tones in there for messages but it still wont show up as an option...i've put it in the windows folder and everything any suggestions

Keep in mind for alarms the wav file can't be too big, at first i had a rather large file and although the device would recognize it, it wouldn't actually play it as an alarm (but would through media player).

damnit, i hate the wap version of hofo... it sucks and its one thread per page. but thanks ill try that when i get my sd card. i got a 2gb

Heres the thing. I have a wav file that is only 12 seconds. I tried the windows/rings no luck but when i put it directly in the /windows folder, whallla!! works like a champ. Im not sure of the size limitation though!

what programs can you use that is free, to edit audio... i used to have mobile phone tools, and that was great, but i dotn have a moto anymore.

alright soo i got it to show up as one of my options but now it doensn't sound...im trying to get the "mail mother****er" sound from eurotrip on there and i downloaded it from bearshare as a wav file

NEVER MIND the file was too small cuz i just downloaded a lil bigger file and it works...

I use a program called audacity. Works pretty good. Easy interface and many customization options. free from download dot com.
