I was doing some calendar updates to my vx6100 using bitpim like I have done a million times before, but this time it popped up a red error message at the top of my phone and then it turned itself off. I tried turning my phone back on but it stays at the black Verizon screen and won't go anywhere else. I then have to remove the battery to get the phone off. I took it in to the verizon store but the guy I talked to in there couldn't help me with it. I currently have an old vx4400 that I'm using as a replacement but I'd really like to have my vx6100 back. Any thoughts on how to fix this? It's past warranty and I won't qualify for a new phone on the NE2 until dec. or jan.

if you've ahd the phone less than a year get a replacement. if over a year you can still get a replacement but it will cost you $50. Dont tell them you were using BitPim

i've had it for over a year and they offered to sell me a replacement for $50 but i can't shell out any extra cash right now so i was wondering if there was anything that could be done to fix it.

the phone can be fixed with LG download or Joyphone in emergency mode, just keep in mind that emergency programing will wipe out your esn so you will have to restore it back and you will lose all or your data already on the phone...just hit me up if you have any questions
