This is what I saw at the F1 get together

The dealer where I have my car serviced invites people, who either bought or service their cars with them, to a get together to watch the F1 race. In the showroom, here is what I saw. Roger Penske owns the dealership and also owns this car. Sorry about the link but that is the only place I could put the pics at this time.

Enjoy

You should just post the pics here, because you need a username and password to look at those on that other site.

I'm not signing up for that

Sorry about that. I didn't realize that you would have to register. Here are the pics. The video is not of great quality b/c it was taken with my 8125. It will give you an idea of how loud the car actually is. In the video everyone was given earplugs and they still had to cover their ears.

The sound should be in this file.

phew, there's only 30 of those in the whole world, and to think, I felt cool when I saw the Ford GT

Posted by: buhdussy

^29 to be exact I think.

Posted by: jafo_18301

That is correct. Only 29 were made. The car sold for 1.25M euros which should equate to approx. $2M USD. It is not street legal. It has 800hp.

Yeah there are no taillights, just exhaust tips. But I dont think I would buy a 2M dollar car if I could only drive it on the track. Not saying I'll ever be able to afford one, but you see where im coming from.

It's supposed to be a development car or something, you get your own pit crew with it too or something like that...

I don't think you're supposed to buy the car, but rather the whole race car experience...

I believe this is true with the new Bugatti. I'm not sure if it is true with the FXX but I could be wrong. Just being there when the car was there was a thrill for me. Keep in mind that this was not open to the public. Being able to see the vehicle and hear it running was a complete thrill for me. I know that I'll never be able to afford a vehicle like that. I'm just hoping to get my name on the "A" list for the new Dino when it becomes available (if ever).

Sweet. When I spoke to my dealer, he told me that they still didn't know if it was going to be a Maserati or a Ferrari. They are not taking any names or money until November so it is a hurry up and wait game. Know of any places to see some pics? I'm curious to see what it is going to look like and which engine they will be using.

Thanks,

JAFO

automobile had a rendering but it was taken down immediately, being not a big car buff i didn't think to save it now the only renderings are of the maserati with ferrari badging.

i read an article way back and it said that that car was not street legal, also it doesent have back lights and whatnot. moreover its an updated enzo sort of, and people get picked to buy it, but i think it mentioned that people had access to a private track somewhere in italy or someting.

only ferrari could get away w/ somethig like this.

You are correct, the car is not street legal. It does have some kind of lights in the back. They are located in the bottom openings. It is an updated enzo with 800hp. I believe Bugatti does something similar. Once you buy a Bugatti, you have access to a race track. They will bring a pit crew and racing slicks to put on the car as well. I guess when you get into the 1.25M (USD) - 2M (USD) the company should do something for you. This car is amazing though. A true race car. Standard Ferrari race car sound.
