Blew my speacker, I thought it was suppose to shrink it small enough.

if you're talking about motokit or some other p2k software..editing the Gain Tables (i'm assuming also that this is what you're talking about) past 4 will damage your speaker...moving them to 8 will definitely kill them.

yea most phones past that will ruin the speaker, I know on the v3i it comes preset on 8 and that is not enough.

he's on a v551 according to his profile
Could you give us more info about what you did? If you did put it all the way you, you could try to put it back down and maybe it's not all the way broken...

Strange, I can't imagine it blowing the speaker.

a speaker 8x louder than it's originally supposed to be shouldnt be good...just like car get severly damaged if you keep it cranked all the way up for too long..

I have a v551, all I did was use moto tool to upload a ring tone. My ringer was set at max, but I would still imagine it should not do that.

There are particular songs that push a speaker very close to breaking point.

Peanut butter jelly time did so. If I would have the ringer a little lower would that of helped ?

It might have. It's pretty tough to say... by the way, funny song you chose there!

I hope you get it sorted out.
