man,

what a bad night. i was driving on the dvp northbound going 100 (10 past 90 speed limit) then a car starts following really really close, so i decided to step on it, a stupid move instead of changing lanes. at this point im 37 over and just as i check my mirror to see if hes still behind me, i see lights...

anyways i was wondering does anyone know any good ticket people and how much it usually costs?

man, this is a bad "mini-summer"

tia

bumping cause i cant see it in the forums

they usually take half of what the fine is...these are the only ones i know

http://www.torontotraffictickets.com/seatbelt.html

for what it's worth, someone in law enforcement told me that if you go to court, the fees are usually reduced but not too sure about the points.

sorry about your ticket and hope it ends well.

thanks for the link.

so far this place looks the best (compared to xcopper based on website and very clear definitions of win etc).

man april is abad month for my family. all 3 of our cars needed to have service or be repaired. i just spend 910 on my mazda3 for 72k km service + new rear rotors and pads (all 4 rotors and pads were now replaced twice) + nail in winter tire + allignment, my parents pathfinder was brought to some incompentant fool who turned a 300 dollar problem (capacitor dead so no air was going through vents) into a 1300+ dollar problem (took out center console for some reason and that screwed up alot of stuff on the console itself and also for some reason broke the vents), dad forgot to close door on bmw and backed out of the garage making bmw door into a pathfinder door (all blocky instead of the original sleak look) and to replace the door it cost 3200, brother hurt my grandmother sending her tot he hospital with a fractured arm or something and last but not least, university isnt looking to good in second semester (stupid accounting).

its times like these that i wish i could turn back time.

He must have been going 127km/h since the limit on the DVP is 90, and he was 37 over.

DVP is tough, my buddy got a ticket for going 112 on the DVP (22km/h over the limit). From my personal/friends experience, if they don't drop the ticket entirely, they reduce it to the point where no demerits are lost (if you're lucky that is). It's still a ticket to the insurance companies so you'll most likely see your premiums go up.

Good luck!

man... same thing happened to me once not long ago...
i was going 140+ on 401 going home from the airport, while 2 cop cars were behind me and i don even notice....

usually i'll let them pass instead of stepping on it...
but was having jetlag back then, and i need the chilly wind to keep me up(it happened last dec...)

but luckily i didn't get pulled over...
only got blasted by the big light on the A pillar of the cop car for a bit when they passed me....

ahh,

if only i read this sooner. my dad already told me to talk to a guy. basically its 260 to try and erase everything. if everythign is erased then 260 is theres. if they lose, they pay all court fines (ticket + court was estimated at 320-350)

hopefully this guy can pull it off for me. and a common misconception: tickets with no points with convinction = no inraunce raise. a conviction EVEN WITH NO POINTS (just fine) will STILL INCREASE INSURANCE.

so fight. those tickets for 10 over (40 dollras no points) will still riase your insurnace.

Dont mean to go off topic, but Im from Detroit, and I usually go to Toronto about 3 or 4 times a year. Im just wondering, if I get pulled over there will I get points on my license? or will you get points on your license if you get pulled over in the states? I mean 100 kmh on the 401 is a joke.

Posted by: canadianpunk03

100kmh is truly a joke... if i do that goign form ingersoll to woodstock it would take me about 15 mins... i do 140-150 the whole way if the traffic is clear and i get there in 7 mins... 140-150 is too much for some people especially new drivers learning to use the 401... i think the speed limit shoudl be 110-120. everyone goes that fast anyways, maybe this will help speed up those slow drivers going on and off the exit ramps

but yah sorry to hear abotu your ticket i had a scre leik that once... doin 140 comin home in the 3rd lane a car came zoomin on my *** and it was leik 2-3 am and i didn't realise it was a cop but i had punched it and he moved over to the lane on my right and i was doin 160 by the time i saw OPP in my passenger window and he kept on truckin on... no lights nothing... i wouldn't doubt he was doing 180... i don't get cops at all...

Posted by: Yannerd

^ No points but if you want to go back to Ontario, you should pay your fines.

Same thing has happaned to me. I was doing 160km/h in the leftmost lane of the 401 heading towards Kingston. Suddenly I see a cop car behind me and I was already thinking "oh s***!", so I change lanes and move over to the right, preparing to lose my license. The cop just looks at me, floors it, and leaves.
