NOTE: This stuff can really mess up your device...permenantly. All this info requires voiding any warranty you have with Cingular on these devices. In short, you need to know what your doing in orde to get involved with this, but if you want to update your ROM to the imate version and install this hack you can listen to music over your stero BT headphones with these instructions. You can find the files in the forum link below (requires reg.)
=== How to make enable A2DP on HTC Tornado ===
1. The ROM should be updated as latest AKU2 ROM from i-mate (SP5 or 8310: i-mate_SP5_???_2.5.33?.?.zip, SP5m or 8300: i-mate_SP5m_???_2.6.33?.?.zip) and unlocked by RegEditSTG.exe and SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe .
2. Copy Avrcp_MPplugin.dll, bta2dp.dll, sbc.dll to \Windows thru ActiveSync.
3. Copy Tor_A2DP_cert.CAB to any folder (I recommend \My Documents), and execute CAB from File Manager.
4. Import or modify A2DP-related registry values as follows, using MobileRegistryEditor.
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{7AAC2B28-5DD1-4052-81DD-E17114EE96B6}]
@="WMP Mobile A2DP Plugin"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{7AAC2B28-5DD1-4052-81DD-E17114EE96B6}\InProcServer32]
"ThreadingModel"="Free"
@="Avrcp_MPplugin.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ UIPlugins]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ UIPlugins\{7AAC2B28-5DD1-4052-81DD-E17114EE96B6}]
"FriendlyName"="Windows Media Player Mobile A2DP Plugin"
"Description"="Integrates Bluetooth A2DP functionality with Windows Media Player Mobile"
"Capabilities"=dword:02000001 (Decimal=33554433, because the MobileRegistryEditor can only specify the value as decimal)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Se rvices]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Se rvices\0000110B-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB]
@="Wireless Stereo"
"bthutil.dll"=dword:00000000 (Decimal=0)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd]
"Flags"=dword:00010002 (Decimal=65538)
"Index"=dword:00000008 (Decimal=8)
"Order"=dword:00000008 (Decimal=8)
"Prefix"="WAV"
"Dll"="bta2dp.dll"
5. Power Off and On
6. You can enable A2DP for your stereo headset, from Settings - 6. Connections - 2. Bluetooth - Menu (right softkey) - 1. Devices - Select your A2DP headset - Menu (right softkey) - Set as Wireless Stereo !!

I suspect this is as close to the perfect ROM as I can make for you folks, until I find something else universally useful to add..
This ROM has the following characteristics:
-Based on QTek 2.17.7.102
-OS 5.1.195 Build 1487.2.0.0
-Radio 02.07.10
-Protocol 412.1.03
-Includes assorted ringers, themes, OmapClock, and yes, A2DP
- .NET Compact Framework is integrated. It is build 2.0.5238.0
- .NET Compact Framework 1 has been left in. Build 1.0.4292.2
-Did I mention it has A2DP integrated?
-It is not coded to a specific carrier, so theoretically you shouldn't have to CID unlock. HOWEVER, I ask, no, I demand that you CID unlock before installing. Only then will you be allowed to grovel in the forum for help if you run into problems achieving a successful flash.
-Each morning at 7am it will gently vibrate, go start the coffee maker, fetch the newspaper, feed the dogs, and start your bath. Should you leave it at home it's likely to cuddle with your wife...it has no loyalties.
It can be found here until it gets moved:
ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.co...WE_CF2_A2DP.exe
If anyone asks me to make this ROM using 2.08 I'll send my legions of monkeys to harass and belittle you in public.

I hate to ask this question without getting the stuffing beaten out of me but...
Do most of the people with 8125 have the xda developed rom?
Is there any chance cingular will come out with an official updated one?
Im having issues with my bluetooth and my BMW hands free car kit and Im tentative about messing with the rom unless its officially supported by cingular.
Thanks

You will void your warranty.

I know that....that isnt what I was asking...

Like those idiots at Cingular will check your firmware when you bring it in...
But if they do, there is a ROM installer also posted at xda-developer that will revert back to cingular ROM.

I doubt Cingular checks. I sent in an MPx220 for XBM and it has a the 3.45 Asian ROM loaded on it. Never gott charged.

I did it. 2125 with SP5m aku2...I was just jammin' my booty off baybay! Works great.
2125 is all set up web, MMS, calls and I'm doing a trial with 4Smartphone for push that I'm going to keep when the trial is up. All is good with WM5
