V3 + Cingular 64K SIM?

Hi guys.

I just picked up a new unlocked V3 (quad) from eBay.
Tested the phone with a SIM from my Nokia 6682 and it works just fine.
So I got a Cingular 64K 3G SIM card for use on it. If I insert the card I immediately get black screen with the following:

Boot Loader
08.26
SW Version:
R374_G_0E.42.0
ER

Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
PHONE CODE SIG
35:02:

If I insert the same 3G card into my Nokia 6682 it works.
Based on this I am assuming that 3G is not supported by V3?
Any solution to this besides calling Cingular and asking to swap phone #'s on SIMs?

Update:
Interestingly enough I just tried my Nokia's SIM card back in V3 and it gave me the same (boot loader) message. Both cards work just fine in my Nokia.
