HELP: Ming A1200 Alarm Clock Issue

Hello Everybody,

I recently obtained a black A1200. Love the phone, the features are so much more advanced than my old V3. However, I find the alarm clock feature very poorly designed.

First of all, unlike the V series, you set the alarm's ringing properties through the "ring styles". In addition, I could not find a way to independently set the ringing volume of the alarm. The alarm simply rings at the volume you have set your incoming call ring volume at.

What I used to do with my V3 is keep my phone on during the night but switch it to silent mode so any 'wrong-number' phone calls by drunk folks wouldn't wake me up in the middle of the night; and I would be able to see what calls I've missed if I were to sleep in. However, with the A1200, the silent mode does not give you an option to choose an alarm clock. Hence in order for the alarm to sound in the morning, I would have to set the "ring style" to a setting which has sound (and a high volume).

QUESTION: Does anybody know of a good third-party alarm (perhaps in J2ME) which can solve my issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
