V3 - No sound from earpiece or keypad

I don't know what the deal is, but all of the sudden, the sound from the ear piece and key pad presses are gone. I was able to fix it by adjusting the Key Volume in ring settings but this doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know what is causing this problem? I can only use the speaker when chatting on the phone since I can't hear anything from the ear piece.

I have a V551 and it is having the same problem... I brought it to a cingular store but they couldn't help me fix it

I have a V3 too, and i have the same problem. my earpiece stopped working just last night. its pretty weird. does anybody know whats going on?
