If I delete my MediaNet settings under connections will that disalbe it from every connecting using cingular stuff and charging me for connection. I only use the interent with my WiFi access. But this morn my boss was playing with my phone and it tried to connect to GPRS. I think it might have been b/c I dont have proxy setting in for work yet so it was unable to get to a webpage and it defualted to gprs. Is there a way i can completely disable it from trying to use another service other than WiFi to surf the web?

I don’t have the 8125 available just my K-Jam to check the settings, but it is likely the same steps for the 8125.

Ok, This works, set up a new modem connection

Start, Settings, Connections Tab, Connections, Under Media Net tap "Add a new modem connection, I named it (No Connection), Next, Under Access Point name I put (wap.nothing), Next, under user name & PW I just put (xxxxxx) in both lines. finish and select the "No Connection" as your default. It does not connect, but you will get the tried and failed balloon if you start PIE or attempt to connect. The new "No connection" stays as default after a soft reset, and you can always recheck your default Cingular GPRS connection if you need it.
