I know this has probably been asked a gagillion times and I did search but just wanted confirmation as so I don't get extra charges. I have the PDAConnectUltd added to my plan for 39.99. Does it matter if I use the WAP or ISP settings? Will I be charged if I use the WAP settings? I believe that I've used the WAP settings when I first got the phone, or at least that's what was programmed in the phone. That was before I uploaded the new KJAM 2.16.9.1 ROM. I don't believe I've been charged for extra data when using the WAP settings instead of the ISP settings listed below, but this is what is recommended for my plan:
APN: isp.cingular
* Provisioned for usage with PC cards and some PDAs.
* Allows tethering of a laptop or PDA for internet access.
* Provides a dynamic, public IP address.
* Applies to Data Connect and PDA Connect rate plans and features.
* Username: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
* Password: CINGULAR1
(all being case sensitive)
Am I correct in using this, and which is supposedly faster? WAP or ISP?

In my experience using isp.cingular with the proxy disabled is fastest and most reliable since it bypasses the cingular proxy server. It does have the slight drawback that you can't access the Cingular medianet wap pages.

yeah id figure isp.cingulargprs would be faster but after doing speed test at both 2wire and dslreports/mspeed...wap setting using media net is alot faster..how reliable r these tests? should i even consider the #s they give me?
