Mpt/v551

I can not find an answer for this with search, so hopefully you can help. A friend gave me a copy of MPT Lite v3.11d. I have a v551. The CD has a big v3 on it. I am wondering if I can use this with an appropriate data cable. I am just looking for a place to store my phone contacts. I don't want to install the software he gave me until I confirm it will work and not do more damage then good.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

MPT 3.19 or higher is needed for v551 I believe... I'm not sure what version of MPT lite will support it. You may or may not be able to update to the correct version. It won't do any harm installing it and trying it, but it just may not work with your phone.
