ROKR First time user, problem playing mp3 files

Hi there,

I received my ROKR today. I bough it off eBay, unlocked. It seems to come from the French market, because it displays some images about a French carrier when starting up and shutting down.

I uploaded four mp3 files from itunes and started playing with it. When playing the first one, itunes stopped at 01:12 min. and went to play next file. When reached 01:40 min., it stopped again and started playing next file, which played flawlessly 'till the end.

Is this a known problem when the phone, i.e., it plays some mp3 files fine and can't play some others? Sofware version ends in R42, could this be causing the problems?

u have to check ur encoding.. cuz itunes on the ROKR is very sensetive..

Thanks for the hint. Seems that the encoding was the problem indeed. The files iTunes was having problems with were 224Kbps. I've already tested other 10 files with 128 to 192Kbps encoding and they play just fine.
