Program for 8125 to switch Wifi/GPRS enable/Disable Proxy

Anyone aware of a program that will change the 8125 from gprs to wifi and back and at the same time disable/enable the proxy with the correct setting? It seems like it would be a relatively simple program....

What I envision is a simple program that just has two modes, GPRS and Wifi. When set to Wifi it turns on Wifi and clears the proxy setting. When set to GPRS it turns off Wifi and sets the proxy to wireless.cingular.net.

I know it can work with proxy turned off all the time, but I like the GPRS portal page.

Thanks for any info or advice!

You don't need any program to do so. All you need to do are following:

(1) In connections, create a new connection w/o any GPRS settings in it. No proxy as well. Name it "Wi-Fi only".

(2) In select connections dialog, select "Wi-Fi Only" connection in the top box that connects to internet.

(3) Select "MEdia Net" connection in the bottom box that connects to work network.

You are done. Now, if you turn on Wi-Fi, you will be connected w/o any proxy because "Wi-Fi connection" is used. If you turn off Wi-Fi, the "MEdia Net" connection with Proxy is automatically selected because the first connection can no longer connect. I used this configuratio for a while and finally tired of proxy server (prevents me log into some web sites include wap.howardforums.com) and turned the proxy permanently off.

Thanks for the info.. My mistake was not assigning the right network card to 'Internet'. I had the wireless card set up for 'work'.. After assinging it to internet your steps worked fine..

working great now!
