MPx220 - 2 questions

Hi everyone! I'm sorry if these have been asked before, but I couldn't find them. Anyway, I have 2 questions:

1. Does Flight Mode make the phone so that it does not recieve calls/text messages, so that I can bring it somewhere, leave it on, and not have it ring?

2. Is there a good application for the MPx220 that puts an alarm clock (for waking up in the morning) that I can use?

Thanks in advanced everyone!

1. Of course, flight mode makes your phone can't receive signal.
2. You can use Chronos 2.2

I'd recommend chronos too, great app, I use it all the time for a number of things...but it's up to v2.8 and has been taken over by another company. Support has not been as good as w/ eldos, but they eventually get around to responding to questions.

I just went through the whole Alarm thing. There is a built in one under the settings menu but it's a pain in the butt to get to if you use it on a consistent basis. I tried Chronos and frankly found it pretty buggy with odd volume and just plain random issues (I've tried it several times in the past too with the same results but maybe my phone just doesn't like it). I would highly recommend CitiTime Alarms which is rock solid and that's what I really need in an Alarm. The main thing Chronos offered over it (aside from bugs) was application launching and a good stopwatch. I'm willing to concede those. I think they both have trial periods. http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail.asp?id=948

I'll have to agree there, forgot about citytime alarms...I tried that when I bought Chronos, and like it better for an alarm app, but I wanted the scheduled app launching stuff, so I went w/ Chronos.

Overall, cititime alarms has a better interface I think...

I haven't experienced the bugs you mentioned, also on an MPx220, but some things have behaved differently (or seemed to) in Chronos between ROM 1.43 and being back on ROM 3.46 now...so it could be ROM related...

I don't know what the deal with Chronos was for me. I installed it multiple times with about 10 months in between. For whatever reason it just didn't work well although I liked the app itself. A few other people have mentioned it can behave oddly at times but I don't know anyone who had the issues I had with it. I run 1.43 on the MPx220. But I figure use the trial period and test them out. If it works, good enough. I didn't even know about Cititime until someone posted that as an alternative and it was night and day on my phone.

citytime alarms is a nice program, been using it for about 10 months now with no issues.

I use alarm set (http://smart.anderuso.net). Its just a front end for the built in alarm so you can access it from the start menu instead of having to go through settings. It's freeware and I haven't come across any bugs. Of course since it relies on the built in alarm you have to set the alarm sound the usual way (or through rjv ringtone setter).

Forgot to mention it's freeware.

Anybody? Anybody at all? I would really like to play a .swf file on my phone! Thanks anyway...

P.S. I have also tried the Beta Flash Macromedia Player - Or whatever it is called.

Thanks once again!
