I seem to ba having a problem getting my POP# accounts to send mail. they download incoming mail fine, but they dont seem to send mail out. does anyone know if there is some way to fix this or what settings on the phone could cause this. thanx

What pop3 accounts are you using and what are your outgoing mail settings...

if you are using gmail, you have to go into your settings & click on "require SSL authentication" for both incoming and outgoing mail. I think. I had the same trouble & that was the solution I was given & it works fine. Now if I could only get my mpx220 to stop downloading EVERY message in my inbox...

i have done that with ssl authentication and still no luck with sending email. i can still only recieve. right now i am only using gmail

Make sure your outgoing mail is set to smtp.gmail.com, and 'Require SSL Connection', 'Outgoing mail requires authentication', and 'Require SSL for outgoing mail' are checked

all of that has been checked and double checked yet still i can not get this phone to send mail. i havent changed anything in my connections settings from the factory original but i cant get it to connect. i have tryed a few different pop accounts and get the same results

Did you make sure you turn on the POP feature in Gmail itself, in the settings?

i have enabled the pop settings on gmail. im not sure what could be wrong.
