Contacts photo ID too small?

Hi all! I just upgraded from the SMT4500 to the 2125

When I try to link up pictures to my contacts dont show up full screen when the person calls. Just a tiny picture in the upper right corner.

Any ideas how to have them show up full screen when I get calls??

sorry, that's the problem with WM5. On a PPC phone with WM5 it works decent but so small on a Smartphone for some reason. There might be other software out there for that but i always turn it off. I rather the default screen instead of pictures. Ringtones tell me who's calling without having to look at the phone. If i want to answer i don't have to look at the screen to do so.

You must not have many friends or family or other contacts. Otherwise you have an amazing memory to memorize tons of different ringtones to know who is calling.

Just get http://www.pocketx.net/smartphone/photocontacts.html (I know you are not supposed to pay for something that's already there but not working the way you want)

Also, I have no clue if it is %100 compatible with WM5/QVGA, but when I tried with my SDA it didn't fit properly on the screen.

now here's something worth looking into. when you take a picture for a photo contact, it's 240x266, the same size as the screen minus the top and bottom menu bars. when viewed even in the basic photo veiwer, comes up perfect.

a simple registry hack or xml change might do it. any takers?

i miss this option from my 5600 and will persue it more when i get home from work.

with WM5 i don't think it's a reg key at all; only the WM team would know that. but it's one of the biggest gripes about WM5 is the photo is too damned small.

the reason i though a reg edit might work would to unlock a caller id app like the smt5600 has.

the phone takes contact pics at 240x266 for a reason. i hope.

Also of interest would be the comments by the WM dev on the first entry of CID there...

Bottom line:
It doesn't appear that there would be any way to hack the registry to blow up the CID pic. But, as Hydepin mentioned, Photo Contacts does that and more. I believe they have an updated version- 3.0.

What they (MS) said was that this is only a template and it's up to the manufacturers to update/customize it. They only show what can be acomplished but didn't expect anyone to default to theirs.

anyone have photo contacts 3.0? i'm just worried about a lag as it loads a photo during an incoming call or a huge delay in finding someones number in my contact list, etc.

photo contacts cause problems when you uninstall it, because it still leaves traces in the registry , as well as a startup file during bootup, so the incoming call screen gets corrupted. Just follow every tiny instruction you can find if you want to uninstall it.

I learned to live with tiny pic on the caller ID. I just take a small picture with a big face, only the face of the caller, so you can still make it when you look at it.

Yes, I heard that. MS just left it like that and thought manufacturer would take care of it. IF Manufacturers could update/customize it, couldn't someone modify the firmware and adjust this. Come on, people are reverse engineering complicated systems and hacking into locked firmwares, but they cannot do a simple job of resizing the picture or adjusting the information on incoming call screen???

now in the first screenshot above, and i'm not trying to be a ****, but i'm extremely picky. I'm not dealing with size 24 font in bright yellow. i just want the pic. thats all. is that possible with this program?

i apologize for preaching to the wrong crowd, but is there anyway at all to get this feature back other than waiting on firmware.
