My friend has one that she's willing to give me, that I can use the LCD from. Can anyone give me fairly detailed directions how how to change it and what to expect when I pop it open, or maybe a website that explains it in detail? I'm sure that if I take hers apart I can figure it out, but I'd rather know what to expect before I go digging into it.

Easiest way would be to swap boards instead of screens. After yo remove the back of the phone, theres a ribbon connection on the top. Be careful, swap the boards and ESN stickers and youre in business again.

Most of the screws used by handset manufacturers are of the Torx variety, and the sizes commonly used are the T-4 and T-5 drivers.

Of course, there are probably others as well, including Philips drivers.

But the highest percentage of handsets use the Torx drivers.
