Are there registry hacks out there to fix the low volume problem for mp3 ringtones on the mpx220? I have tried adjusting my mp3s every which way to try and get them louder with no luck. Thanks.

I use Audacity for importing and editing my ringtones. (I use WAV not mp3) IMHO, both speakers on the MPX220 is crap compared to the my old v220, my back up v557, or my son's v180. The best workaround I have is adjusting the gain to either +3DB or +6DB. You are gonna have to play with it. Another problem is you will not get the same results on every song/genre unlike the other Motorola phones mentioned above which are consistent and plays mp3 tones better.

Hope this helps.

to make the mp3 ringtones louder what you can do is convert them to WMA, it is a lot louder for ringtones, thats what i am doing with mine.i'm pretty sure it will work out for you too.
