8125 messaging button problem

ok. when i get a text message, a little popup comes on the button of the screen displaying the first part of the message. there are two options there, by the soft keys. everyone knows this, i know. but my two options used to be view and menu. now for some reason they are reply and menu. i cannot view the message anymore without hitting reply or without waiting for the popup to disappear and then going to my messages. i can't figure out how to change the reply option back to view. anyone know how to do this? thanks.

mine has always been REPLY on the left and MENU on the right, with both of my 8125s....

if you have gotten the message, and its already no longer displaying and your today screen just shows you have a message it should display view and menu, but once u have that intitial view it should be reply and menu, thats how its been on mine. Be more specific on what time you're talking about, right when the message is recieved, a little while after but it hasn't been read...etc.
