Can't get V3c installed, installed PST and drivers...
I have installed the PST and the PST driver..
I pluged in the phone with USB. XP balloon up find new device, and I did select the driver. And it installed successfully.
I start up PST, it brings up another 4 new devices, and I installed them one by one successfully, too.
After I started PST, I cannot see the data from my phone. Didn't close PST, I tried to run P2Kman, I saw message:
GENERIC FAILURE
Volume name fail
I pressed update list, I saw error:
Receiving file list...FileList entry size invalid!
Fail!
The driver part seems installed well, but just cannot work on others. i jsut want to load up my ringtones...
My phone has the newest version from verizon .04

I don't know why but PST seems very difficult to install and get working properly.
It's probably the drivers but windows won't let me update the drivers.
I unstall PST and remove the motorola modem from the device manager list but when I re-install PST or plug in the phone windows automatically installs the drivers.
I am using win98se and PST 7.71 and the phone is a v710.
I can go into Hyperterminal and talk to the phone that way. AT+GMR gives me the firmware rev. etc.
PST just acts like nothing is hooked up. Checked the pst port settings and that's correct. At least that works with hyperterminal.
What the heck am I missing here?? How do I get the old driver out of there so I can load the pst ones??
That is if that's what's wrong. I'm clueless at this point.
Any help would be appreciated.
