8125 viewing pdf's???

ok i've had my 8125 for about a month now and everything is going fine.

just the other daya friend ask me to let him try to look up something on his email. it was a pdf. well i downloaded it just fine to the device but it takes a forever and a day for anything to come up on the the screen.

when it looks like the screen has finally stoped loading if you move the screen right or down to view another part of the pdf it has to load the whole thing over again, at least that what seems to be whats happing.....

Any one had any luck with pdf's on the 8125???

ClearVue reader does not recognize a lot fo PDFs. Acrobat Reader 2.0 will work. However your issue sounds to me is try loading a fairly large PDF document. PPC with its limited resources does not handle large PDFs well. The slow clock speed of 8125 does not help either.

yeah i'm using the clearvue pdf reader that came with the phone.

well this pdf is 1 mb.

i haven't used pdf at all, so i really don't know if that is a big file for them or not.....

is there anyway to get the acrobat reader 2.0 on the 8125?

You can just download it from Adobe web site. It's free. However, Acrobat Reader 2.0 itself is a dog but it sure can read all the PDFs that ClearVue can not.

do you think it would run faster the the clearvue? it takes atleast 2 min now to bring jp the pdf and even then if you move the page it takes another min or so to reload.....

My experience is that Acrobat Reader is even slower. It took almost 2 minutes for the reader to load and initialize.

i dont have the 8125 but got the 9300 and it doesnt take anywhere near that time to open a pdf file. i have the kjv bible in pdf and it loads instanly and when i scroll very small lag. it must be the way windows reads the program. 8125 has a faster processor than the 9300

mmmm 9300 reading pdf's fast, very interesting.....I,ll have to see if they have a different reader or something.

I,m guessing it's just the speed of the 8125. thx for all the insite
