Sanyo SCP-3100 Vs 8300

Hey,

New here.

I just got my 3100 but I'm not to happy about it. For one thing, whenever I place QCP Music files on it, they play low as....Next, I cannot find what image format it uses to play animations. I got some GIFS sent, but it asks me for a pluggin. Bummer. Since IT is a rebirth of the 8300 (I think) Just add some nice colors and plastic. Now, since more people have the 8300 than this recently released plastic phone >_< Can someone tell me what their experience was/is with the 8300? Or could you help me with getting the right formats for this kind of phones? I'm new to Sanyo, always been loyal to Samsung (Had an old but nifty VI-660) But I didn't like any of the models they had out and the good ones were to expensive T_T. I just, more than anything, want the tones to be loud. I don't understand, if it IS a speakerphone, shouldn't the sound be more loud than just soft sound? The tones they have on there for default are pretty loud, but I don't know why. My old VI-660 played them louder.

I sent my own homemade QCPs and Pro made QCPs, same result. This phone is sad and I'm about to bust it against the floor (Insurance) and get a different model. Or maybe just take it back up there. ^_^

Thanks for reading.

8300 is better. Vid cam and flash. Bigger outer screen. AAC ringers (loud AND clear). streaming media. and the list goes on...basically 3100 is an entry level phone where the 8300 is more mid-range.

Um, well, that sure is a ripoff. I'm sure to take it back and tell them it wasn't the phone I wanted. ^_^

Well,

The phone is working good, for some reason, the tones are now loud and clear >_< Wonder why? They are liquid clear. I guess, I'll keep the phone, it isn't the best highest tech device, but for a cam/internet phone, it's alright. And USB Compatible.

Well I think that Sanyo 8300 kicks 3100 anyday. It has a TV, camera, video camera, videos, MP3 file format, larger colour dual LCD screens, flash, ...

I just got the 3100 and I am fine with it except for the volume. At least once when I am talking to someone, their voice gets really low and I can barely hear them. Anyone else have this problem? Is the 8300 better in this respect?

Not really,

Mine works fine, I was comparing the 3100 to the 8300 and except for some of the higher tech stuff, like Streaming Video and Stereo, it's the same exact thing. And, I think the speaker on the 3100 is more clear than the 8300. But both phones are nice, though.

Although the 8300 sells more, the 3100 is catching up, unless you want to spend the extra few bucks for the 8300, the 3100 is the same thing.

Well yeah and they say that 3100 is the same as 2300 except with bigger screens and a camera, and a crappier volume. I would spend a bit more anyday for 8300 instead of 3100, considering all of the features and pros it comes with. Only if it had expandable memory ...

lol,

Yea, phones need more memory, I honestly didn't want a Sanyo at all, I like it, but most of the time I usually go with a Samsung or Motorola, they got nice phones too, and LG has great designs, only if they worked as good as they look. >_<

By the way, I have insurance on my phone, let's say I "Lost it" you think if I went to sprint, they let me choose another phone or would just give me the same? I'm honestly thinking of picking up the 8300 or A900 from Samsung.
