RAZR v3c problem: BitPim can transfer pictures BUT NOT ringtones?

I'm able to use Bitpim to transfer picture to my RAZR v3c phone (firmware 04) but not ringtones. Here's a error message when I transfer ringtone:

An unexpected exception has occurred.
