Alright, so i just need to clear a few things up before i go any further.

1) With the SX833 firmware, there are no mp3 ringtones, but it supports .aac or .mmf

2) When I transfer pics, videos etc, i cant use my data cable and software for 903? I have to get seperate software or just use a card reader.

3) Transferring from computer -->phone via bluetooth WILL work?
I know with euro fw my bluesoleil doesnt have the option to transfer from computer to phone

1) correct. it does support mp3 ringtones. but that have to be drm'd.
2) you can transfer using usb cable. u just need the sx833 handset manager software
3) bluetooth will work.

alright so basically SX833 is like euro except
-no mp3
-bluetooth pics/videos from computer to phone works
-supports chinese

correct me if im wrong

and where can i get the SX833 handset manager software?

yes.. thats correct. u can play regualr mp3's tho.

you can find sx833 handset manager software somewhere on this forum... someone had posted links to it. its not on the smartone website

I tried using the software that come with my 903sh but it doesn't work. I searched the forum but i can't find the software you are talking about for the SX833. Do you know any software that i can purchas or download so that i can connect my SX833 to my computer. Thank you.

alright, i recently got a brand new 903 from my old euro fw...and i noticed songs are noticably louder when played through the phone's stereo speakers on my SX833 firmware.

is it firmware related? or could it just be that its brand new?

It can read Japanese, however it cannot input it in the Keitai Shoin Japanese input method (as seen in the JP firmware). You are able to use a "copy-paste" approach for Japanese characters, but this is quite impractical if you regularly want to input it. Also, if you're sending to phones in Japan, the majority of them wont be able to display your "copy-paste" characters due to encoding issues.
