for a while now, i've really wanted a 903sh. im absolutely in love with its looks. however, with all this talk about the 904sh becoming unlockable soon--and costing basically the same as a 903sh--it almost seems like it would be ignorant to buy a 903 over the 904, for the features alone. from what ive seen on google, the 904 looks nice... but something about the 903 just makes me wet. what would you guys do?

I think you should just wait for the 904 as there is news that it will be unlocked very soon. Also, the 904 has VGA screen and image stabilizer on the camera.

i would say get the 904 i think it looks a bit better but the 903 is blockier... if that's a word

i can post some pics of my fones if u want compare them =D

if you like the 903SH looks, gow ith the 903SH, but if you like the 904SH looks, go for th e904Sh as its newer

azn boi,

could you take pics of the 904 opened, back-view. and also with the keypad lit up? is it roughly the same size as the 903?

my only beef with the 904 is the chrome part and that mini-handle thing at the hinge. is the chrome color brushed, or more darker looking irl?

i mean..the 903 looks better imo...but 904 has that vga screen to compensate it..haha

its really up to you...
other than the screen......i think both phones are pretty much the same...

Some images of the (mostly) blue 904 I found while surfing the web. No, it doesn't make the selection process easier.

My apologies if the images are too big and if it causes lagging. I'll remove the images if anyone want them removed.

funny tho.. as hot as purple is.. i've only had one guy buying it... black is by far the most popular.. blue is a distant 2nd.

The purple doesn't look that bad though, but just not might taste!!! It definitely is unique just like the blue. The black is definitely more down to earth for most of the people.

black is very popular.. well its neutral, in a sense.. its a phone u can take out on all occassions.. doesn't matter what occasion.. black will be fine..

if ubrought puprle and blue out to various occasions.. it might seem.. odd? who knows.. its down to preference though

i feel that the top part of the phone looks like a samsung, but the keypad definitely doesnt say samsung..

I bought a blue for two reasons.

1) I got bored of looking at my black 903SH for months now
2) The black on the 904 isn't polished any more, so it looks so dull, like someone took a sander to the 903. The blue isn't polished, but at least it as some sort of uniqueness to it.

Some pics make me want the black more, some don't. Mine's not even here yet, so I guess I'll know if I like it when I get it.

The one reason why I would prefer black is because as people say, it goes well with any occassion. And also, any wallpaper you put on stands out a lot more and matches the black better.

the pixel resolution will be 480 x 640
as opposed to 240 x 320

this phone is locked for use only with vodafone used in japan. unlocking it will enable you use another sim aside from vodafone. since this 904 incorporates onfe of the latest locking system, unlockers will need some time to learn how to unlock the phone. and it will be soon =)

yea anywayz, i really do agree the purple is one line between unique and brokeback, it actually looks so much better in real picture than on the advertising poster, but then i really can't take that feminie look of the purple.

oh god, looks like everyone is going thru the same dilemma, like should i get the blue or the black. i say what ever that you choose with you first instinct, that's your colour, if you choose purple in the first place, go for it, you might find your real sexual identity :rolleye:

guys, i think the hardest part for choosing the two colour is some picture really shows the metallic of the blue, which makes it really attracting, but it's just too eye popping for me so i chose the black.

btw, i just found out one thing, i never notice the keypads are clear crystal like. it's gonna look so much of a japanese fone now!!!!

ahhhhhh!!!! i want the unlock so i can use the phone!!!!!!

damn my summer semester is coming, god it's gonna make the wait even longer!!!!

I would suggest not to do the unlocking yourself if your not familiar as it might just kill the phone and no longer turn on again. I would suggest to find a expert in your neighbourhood to do the unlock for you or if there isn't any, you can always PM our Sharp specialist TimSTA for assistance. He will definitely help you, check out my sig for further details.

yes.. 903SH can be used in your country as long it is unlocked and you ahve gsm carriers

Hi Renalin,

Well this depends if your country supports GSM 900/1800/1900. If it does then you will be fine. There are a couple of firmwares available for the Sharp 903 currently, you have the Japanese, Hybrid, Chinese and Euro versions. If your looking at the 904 model, currently the phone is still locked, but we are hoping the unlock solution will be out soon. So, just waiting patiently for the news. Correct me if i am wrong Tim?

good choice. your sx833 on ebay is a decent price. the all black ones are hard to find. now all you need is to flash it to a euro. enjoy the phone.
