If it says it's 3.01.01, ask the salesperson for one from newer stock, or just go to another dealer. You want it to say 4.62.2. Reason is that the first firmware is older, and slightly buggy. It doesn't save call-logs between power cycles and it will repeatedly ask if you want to copy all your contacts from your sim to the phone memory. The newer firmware (4.62.2) doesn't do this. Also make sure you're getting a 3G SIM card (blue on one side, there's no reason you shoudlnt' be getting one) this won't get you 3G service, but it helps in stability in the phone for some reason.

Well I ordered Cingular the other day.. did it online through the business premier program.. and ordered 2 SLVRs (family plan).. so I'm going to test it out. I do have 14 days right? If I want to try out a 6682 can I take it into the store for an exchange or do I have to ship it back? |
