Well Im stumped - I have my spc & QPST. I have read a thread here that stated how to get mp3 ring tones. I have:
Cut an mp3 to 30 secs for the ring.
Converted it to 20Kps, 16,000 mono
Renamed the mp3 as a mid
Dumped it into the ringer directorty
reset the phone

Yet when I highlight the ringer, nothing plays. Any advice??? I have ready the KX1 will play MP3's but maybe Im wrong?

Wish I knew what to tell you. I didn't have any phone tools and accomplished this with just the USB cable that came with my phone. My largest ringer (midi file) is 267kb and I'm pretty sure they're all longer than 30 seconds.

Hey Brian, I know how you feel. It took me about 2 weeks to figure out my phone only plays midis and a certain wav format. I believe the Soho may play the same formats. you should give this a try.
I use Dbpoweramp to convert my mp3s into a 16bit 16khz mono wav file after that you can use audacity to trim that wav file the way you like and then export to 4bit ima adpcm mono wav format. After that rename the file extension to .mid and then transfer to ringer folder on your phone.

Yes, the soho only plays midi's and certain wav formats... look for posts made by me and you will find what you need.

I dont think it can play true tone (musictags) though, or even MP3s
