Ever since I got the rom update I can't sync my phone properly it says Support Code:85010014. Does anyone know what this means?

Its a very common problem with activesync 4.1 and newer. It means its having a problem communicating with outlook. There's two things that commonly fix this issue:
1) open outlook > click help > detect and repair > uncheck both boxes when prompted
- NOTE: You will probably need the disc you installed outlook from in the drive while
you perform this
If detect and repair dosn't work, and it probably wont then you need to completely uninstall and reinstall outlook.
That support code points directly to outlook, and these are almost the only ways to fix it.

I think the other way to get rid of it is to turn off email and contact sync.

I have a PPC-6700. I dont use outlook, I just want to sync my PPC-6700 with my Windows XP service pack 2 computer. Active Sync 4.1 does not find my PDA. It just keeps saying connecting. I have the latest software on the PDA which is rom version 2.06.00 WWE. So I have Active Sync 4.1, I have 2.06.00 ROM on the ppc....why isnt it finding the device....I know the usb connection is good, because i tried it on a cingular 8125.

I am having the same problems. Just got my Cingular 8125 unlocked (not an easy task in Canada). I set up the partnership and it synced the first time around. It then kept booting me to 'Guest'. I checked out the fixes on the website, checked out my firewall settings, deleted my device, uninstalled and reinstalled the Activesync program, and now I can't do anything other than 'explore' my files. The problem initially arose when I was installing third party software on the device.
Here is something I may try that is on another form:

We assume that at least one of your devices is WM5 and you have ASync
4.1 installed.
If so, you sound like a candidate for the AS 4.2 beta... check the site
at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...tivesync42.mspx
In addition, check chris' site at http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/ for async
tips.

I tried it. It did not work. I still cannot 'sync' although I can still explore, etc.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this mess?
