PEBL won't power on anymore - HELP!

Hi All,
So I purchased a PEBL U6 (fire red) from the UK. Charged it up and its on Cingular now. I had the voice/text messaing issue as many other have posted about. I was able to remedy that using the SEEM edit (thanks forum). I did that on Monday. Now all of the sudden the phone will not power on. This seems a little strange - I would think that any damage caused by the SEEM edit would have happened immediately so I cannot image that this would the root cause of the phone not powering on. It has been working fine for the past 4 days. I paired a Bluetooth headset with the phone on Tuesday and have using that very often, but still this shouldnt cause the inability to power on the phone.

Thinking the battery was dead (unlikely) I charged the phone during the drive into work this morning. Sometimes the keypad on the phone will light up - but thats it.

Anyone have insight into this issue? Any help, quickly, would be much appreciated!

try to push your battery up to the contact and turn it on at the same time... It maybe your connection is bad...

o...you need to hold down the power button a little longer for the pebl too....

I will try that. I just refuse to believe that this was caused by the SEEM edit, considering it worked fine for four days after the hack.

I'll let you know if that fixes. Does anyone else have any other ideas? I really hope the flash/flex isn't corrupted. I dont want to go there unless I have to!

its not caused by the seem editing. You probably drained your battery. Like I said, try taking your battery out and putting it back in. Then charge it with a home charger (OEM one) and it should charge. If it isnt charging perhaps push up the battery and see if that would help. Generally, the phone will NOT turn on for 10-15 seconds when you try to charge a battery that is completely dead, so be patient.

I doubt flashing the phone will even help since this appears to be hardware issue and not software

Hi All,
Boy do I have egg on my face! :-)

So it turns out that on the Moto PEBL you actually have to hold down the POWER button for more than THREE seconds!!!

Problem solved!
