I have my messages forwarded to my 8125 and for some reason the windows media file (vonage voicemail) on my 8125 will not play.
I get a file uncompatible error.

Its most likely a codec issue, even if the file format is the same, if the audio was encoded in a different codec, and you do not have support for it on the playing device, it will complain.

Try downloading TCPMP (Core Pocket Media Player) and installing it. In the options you can have it be associated with all media types including wma/wav,etc.
I had the same issue when forwarding ATT CallVantage (VOIP) messages to my email and listening to them...works perfectly with TCPMP.

Hi,
I use TCPMP ver 0.72RC1 on my 8125 (new user here) and was able to hear my Vonage voicemails last week just fine. This week, no joy! as I had been adding and changing installed programs to my new SD mini card (TCPMP is now on the card and not in Main memory, I thought maybe I screwed things up somehow. I checked the associations and I did add .wav and I even moved a sample .wav file over to the 8125 and although I could play THAT .wav file, I can no longer play my Vonage v-mail.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Claude H.

OK,
So as to not mislead anyone, I received several more vonage voice mails and they worked fine, using TCPMP. So it must a been a fluke or just a bad .wav file.

why not just have vonage send you the vmail as email address to yournumber@pics.cingularme.com. I do this and it works great.
