VX8000 Memory/Ringtone Problem

I tried to send myself another ringtone via email and when I went to save the sound it said 'memory full'. I then tried to delete some old ringtones to free up space and it still said 'memory full' when I tried to save the sound. Does anybody know how to fix this?
I have searched the board and looked through numerous threads but I haven't found a real good answer. I do not have bitpim or a data cable yet.
Can somebody help me out with this? Thanks.
