Motorola E815 Message Indicator problem

My E815 won't clear the message indicator symbol even though I have checked my messages and deleted them. I have tried turning the phone off and back on and still no dice.
Is there a way for me to reset the message indicator light?
P.S. This is a Veriszon phone activated on the Bell Mobility Network.
