I am a n00b in need of assistance.
I have debranded my Vodafone V3X with RSD Lite 2.5 and am pleased to have got rid of the branding but now cannot send receive/download any MMS messages (SMS is working fine). I have looked through the forum but must admit to being a bit baffled by a lot of the jargon etc. Is it anything to do with browser settings? Any ideas for help wil be greatly appreciated please.

my provider remains as Vodafone (I wanted to debadge the phone) in the UK.

Try hellomoto.com .. select UK ..then look for operator settings ...follow the directions from there...

I managed to do this but it had no effect. i still cannot send or recieve MMS. Everything else works. Interestingly i dont seem to be clocking a bill since the moment i chnged the settings.

IMO .. use leaderGL to delete the file "websession" under a/ then reboot the phone and start fresh....

LeaderGL is software that you can use to mod your phone ...it has a 'resource explorer' like windows explorer ..... open it and find that file and delete it ..

You usually need RSD open while using Leader.. I have it on my site.

Steve, i cannot see a file called websession anywhere in a/ when using leaderGL

In Leader ... go to 'struments' then to resource explorer ..

Click on the /a then the mobile folder ...then on the /a again ...the files will appear.

Thanks Steve, i found the file and deleted but still not able to send/ receive MMS. I also still have "Flex error phone subsidy-locked" code message when i start the phone.

Now add the WAP/MMS settings back to the phone and make sure you copy them exactly!!!

As for the subsidy lock ... with leaderGL look for the file secure_pds_init in the folder -> a/mobile/system/ and delete it.

Thanks STeve, I have removed the subsidy lock message. Please can you tell me whre to add the WAP/MMS settings and where do i copy them from. do i use flex editor also for this?

No ... just get OTA updates ...

thanks steve, for MMS update i get a message saying 'exceeds maximum limit cannot add MMS profile' should i change the MMS setting in my phone with flex editor to 1meg (maximum)

Go into messages ... then options .. setup .. message setup ....Multimedia Message Setup ...

Delete any other MMS entries under server info and redo the OTA for MMS...

i kinda messed up my MMS settings when i reflashed my phone with the exact same software type from a different carrier
