so far the only thing bugging me is the power off feature, when you press the power off button it goes into standby and if a text message or call comes through it wakes up the phone.Has anyone figured out a way to completely turn off the phone?

as far as i know there is no way to completely power off the device without removing the battery. i think that goes for most windows mobile based pdas though.

Two ways:

1) Turn plane mode by tapping on the reception icon at the top right.

2) Turn off the phone mode by tapping on the Comm. Manager at the bottom right. Looks like black circles.

this turns off the radio, but it doesnt turn off the pda functionality does it? as far as i know, windows pdas aren't meant to be turned off completely.

Turning off the radio / wifi radio / bluetooth and the screen would do the trick. Any alarms you set will still kick in.

Not sure I like that: Your device will always be consuming power....

I fugured out that you have to turn on flight mode but again this does not completely power off the device, its kinda stupid but oh well I guess this is a problem with getting ppc phones, thanks for the info guys.

It will consume under 10% of your battery overnight if you turn off wi-fi, turn off radio, turn off bluetooth.

thats wht I do, I turn off wifi, radio and bt, what kind of bt headset do you use on this phone and where did you buy it from? any idea how I can watch videos on this thing?I have a wifi connection at home and wanted to watch some music videos but it didnt work, do I install real player or some codecs? and if so do I install to the sd card or main memory
Another question I have is regarding getting a protective screen, do you have one? is there any place in Toronto I can buy one from or should i get a pocketpctech one?

Yah, kinda reminds me of the days when I used to use an iPaq... that thing lasted me 3 years... Great little device, but woe be he who choses to miss charging it for nary a day... ;-) It would forget what it was... and that wasn't fun...

At the end of the day I'd be running home to get it into the charging doc before its screen gave that characteristic LCD twitch that meant the battery was peetering out and it was going through its memory reset! ugh!

Thank goodness blackberry doesn't do this... or I'd shoot the darned thing.

I've had no battery issues so far, 2 days usage and it sits around 50%, maybe not the heaviest usage though.

I've also done a 1 hour conference call that didn't appear to use more than 30-40% of the battery, my old phone would be dead after about 1.5 hrs. talk time.

Every time you enter a text edit box, the popup software keyboard pop's up.

Does anyone know how to disable this? There doesn't appear to be an option, and it gets very annoying when your using the hardware keyboard.
